Itinerary
The Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country, with a width of 25 meters (82 feet) and a drop of 60 m (200 ft). Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days.
Seljalandsfoss is one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in South Iceland with a whooping 196 ft (60 m) cascade. The waterfall is loved by travelers because you can actually walk behind it! (only in summer). Step behind the curtain of water and marvel at Iceland’s South Coast from a completely new perspective.
Sólheimajökull Glacier is a glacial tongue and part of the mighty Myrdalsjokull Glacier. With icy crevasses, deep blue colors, and rugged scenery, Solheimajokull is a top South Iceland glacier attraction!
Reynisdrangar Sea Cliffs stand under the Reynisfjall Mountain at the end of a dramatic stretch of black sand beach. They are towering, spiky basalt sea stacks jutting out from the ocean 66 meters (217 ft) into the air.
The most beautiful black sand beach in the world is located in Iceland, and it is called 'Reynisfjara' in Icelandic. Be careful of the tidal waves, but be sure to check out the cave on the beach that was carved out by the ocean waves.

Having an extra stop to let the kids see horses was special. Edgar was a very pleasant and efficiently guide and driver. It would be nice to have s little more time when arriving at the more crowded sites, but we understand staying on schedule is important also.
This tour was beautiful and I really felt like we got to see a lot. Edgar was awesome! He was knowledgeable and friendly and funny. We needed to adjust our expectations a bit because we thought we were going to be in a sprinter van so we were surprised when we were with a larger group in a larger bus. We were also disappointed that we were the last ones picked up even though we were the largest group and the only one with children.
Great Guide - Dovile. She was very friendly, safe driver and gave us lots of information. As an extra she took us to see puffins. Bonus!!! Thank you. Weather was sunny. Long day but worth it.
Hi Hazel, sunshine and puffins on the same trip is Iceland being generous. A guide who throws in an unplanned puffin stop knows how to read the moment. Come back for more! Arctic Adventures Team
Iga was an amazing driver and tour guide she is funny and enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area. Iga, Come visit us in Webster NY. Thank you for a great day. Mike and Pat Sirianni
Hi Mike and Pat, a Webster NY invitation is a first for us. A guide who's funny, enthusiastic, and knows the coast makes those hours on the road fly by. Thank you for joining our tour! Arctic Adventures Team
This tour was quite long and required a good deal of walking. It was also absolutely worth it. I highly recommend touring the south coast while visiting Iceland. The waterfalls and black sand beach were breathtaking. Our tour guide was friendly and down-to-earth. Everything was very comfortable for us -- there was plenty of opportunity to buy snacks and use the restroom along the way.
Wendy was an amazing guide. Super knowledgeable and made it an easy going experience for us. Excellent!
Hi there, glad the day felt easy. The South Coast covers a lot of ground, so a guide who makes it all feel relaxed rather than rushed is doing it right. Arctic Adventures Team
Delightful trip -- easier than driving, great guide with stories, saw so many beautiful places in our limited time. Perfect sunny day made for gorgeous waterfall mist rainbows. Seeing puffins at the black sand beach amid the falls and basalt columns was amazing. Thanks so much to our guide Edgar!
Hi there, glad the sunshine cooperated. A rainbow through the waterfall mist is Iceland at its most photogenic. Sounds like the limited time was well spent. Arctic Adventures Team
The guide was great! However, the tour itself was a bit underwhelming. As scenic stops on the way to Diamond Beach, the views were fantastic, but for a standalone day trip, there wasn't really enough to see.
Hi Shasha, glad the guide and the scenery came through well. The South Coast day trip covers the waterfalls and Reynisfjara stretch, which works best as an introduction to that part of Iceland. For Diamond Beach and the glacier lagoon, the two-day tour is the one that takes you further east. Thank you for joining us! Arctic Adventures Team
Alexander was awesome. We saw much more than we expected and he made it a great adventure!
Hi Joe, really glad the day surprised you. An awesome guide who shows you more than the brochure promises is worth every minute on the road. Arctic Adventures Team
This tour was amazing! We went on our last day in Iceland and were blessed with beautiful weather and the most attentive guide - Edgar. Well worth the time & expense. We saw the best of the South Coast and made lifelong memories.
Hi Valerie, good to hear this. Ending an Iceland trip with lifelong memories on the South Coast is hard to top. Glad the weather cooperated for the finale. Arctic Adventures Team
