This was the best tour I had in Beijing! It was great not being tied down to a group. Wendy knew all the great photo spots and where the entry lines were most likely to be the shortest, and her English is very good and I appreciated her knowledge of the various sites. The subway travel was awesome too!
We had a fantastic day with a small group and an amazing guide. Everything went smooth, great tour and a lot of fun. Lunch was also very delicious. It was a perfect combination of great wall and summer palace.
The small group tour with Keith was good overall. The brief informations provided about the Hreat Wall and the Summer Palace were useful, the lunch was delicious. I did not feel comfortable sitting at the back with two other guests separated from my mother. We were not given the option to take boat ride at the Summer Palace although the tour ended by 3 pm.
Hello, thanks for your postitive review. And we would like to give some feedback about your concerns. You told us your mom is 78 years old before travel day, and we ask if she need the front seat, so that we save the front seat of the van for her, but there is only one seat in the front, you can't seat with her there. And for the summer palace, because your mom was tired and didn't walk with the group, that is why the guide didn't ask if the group want to do the boat ride. If you take the boat, it will take you to another exit, that you can't meet your mom back at the entrance. The ferry boat is not included in the tour, we only can do it if all the guests in the group agreed to go and also you need to pay for the boat tickets:) The tour ended at 3pm at the summer palace, but there was still an hour to drive back to hotels. As you can see in the tour description, this is a 9 hours tour, and the tour started before 7am in the morning.
The tour was fantastic, and Keith was very welcoming and an excellent tour guide. Thanks to this trip, we avoided the crowds and were almost completely alone at the Great Wall. Just a few hours later, it became extremely crowded, so the early start was definitely worth it. We stopped at a restaurant for lunch, and the food was delicious. The entire trip was comfortable, well organized, and luxurious. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a more peaceful and enjoyable Great Wall experience. One small suggestion for improvement would be to include more information about China, its history, and the Great Wall during the drive. A short 5–10 minute video or presentation would add valuable context and make the experience even better.
Incredible experience and worth every penny. The tour guide was called Keith who was brilliant. He educated us, gave us space to explore and brought humour to the tour. The lunch was really good. Definitely do The great Wall early as the crowds build quickly. We came down at 11am to find the queue to go up was 2hours long. We had no queue.
We went with a small group. All went very well and the tour was organized. Guide/driver a Keith was attentative and willing to assist with anything. Would definitely recommend this activity!
Picked up - one less hassle. Comfortable vehicle. Good knowledge and explanations. The Wall was excellent, take good walking shoes. Lunch was also excellent. If over 60 you’re not allowed on the luge 😢. Passport you must take. Dropped back at the hotel. Definitely worthwhile.
This is a must do experience for anyone travelling to Beijing. Beforehand the communication and set up was 5 star giving clear instructions and pick up times The driver was good and friendly and the guide was very knowledgeable. Got to the wall before the crowds so we were fully immersed in it's grand surroundings Lunch was fantastic Summer palace was very busy but a fantastic end to the day Overall a great introduction to the history of this amazing city Thank you!!!!!
Lovely tour . Keith let us all know the important details about the Great Wall , ensuring that we had a lovely time. Summer palace was fascinating especially with all the stories .
The tour to the Great Wall was great—no complaints there. That said, be cautious if you're suggested a tea ceremony. First off, it's not a traditional one; it's more of a tasting session. Second, they'll push you to buy tea afterward, but it's wildly overpriced—city prices are way cheaper.
Thank you for your review, and we are glad you felt great about the tour to the great wall. About the tea, as a travel agency, we don’t sell tea, we don’t ask you to buy tea there. We only want to you have a free tea testing ceremony to drink some tea after lunch, good for health also you can experience a bit the Chinese tea culture. And we ONLY go there if you want to. Yes, it is tea testing for free, not a ceremony show which you have to pay. And only proper tea house has the free tea ceremony, unfortunately they only have high grade tea there. Markets sell cheaper tea, but they don’t provide tea ceremony. If our goal is to sell you tea, market is indeed a better place to go, so you can also buy some tea, right? Not like now, you didn’t buy anything but gave us a 2 stars review… About pushing, what happened is that you asked tea host about price, she thought you want to buy it, then asked you if you want to buy it, and willing to give you a discount. Sorry if this made you felt like being pushed. But we have asked others in your tour group, no one else felt this way, actually you are the only one felt been pushed since 2018 when we first started this tour.
