Small Group Southern Loop 7 Days Tour

The Southern Island tour was amazing, great value for money, with completely stunning scenery and so many options for activities. The trip was very well run and organised. Guide Telli was amazing, he made long drives interesting with local knowledge, great playlists and regular coffee stops! He also had great reccomendations for free things to do and food reccomendations wherever we went. Would absolutely reccomend this tour to anyone!

Amazing experience! Our tour guide Telli was so good and went above and beyond for our whole group, so cannot thank him enough. The size of the group was good for the winter. Great tour length and atmosphere of everywhere we went was great and good value for money. Solo travelling was very easy because there was a whole load of different personalities.

It was an amazing experience.

The "Southern Loop" was the middle part of our three-week tour of New Zealand and an absolute highlight. We explored the north of the South Island intensively, enjoying the perfect mix of guided highlights and individual freedom. Since you often stay in the same place for several nights, stress never arises despite the full program. A huge thank you to our guide Daisy: She was just awesome! Whether planning our activities, breakfast or general questions – she was always there with full commitment. Especially cool: The range of activities is huge, and Daisy still had an insider tip for hiking in case there was nothing suitable. My favourites: Dolphin swimming and hiking in Abel Tasman National Park! The hostels were great, and through the shared rooms (3–8 people) you get to know the group in a flash. The trip is also ideal for solo travellers. I highly recommend Wild Kiwi!

I just finished an unforgettable tour with Wild Kiwi in New Zealand, and I can’t recommend it enough! Everything was incredibly well organized and the destinations were stunning. A huge shoutout to our guide, Ben, he truly made the trip special. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and always went the extra mile to make sure everyone was having a great time. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it made such a difference.

Magnificent experience. Siobhan was a pleasure to have as our guide. She was very knowledgeable, was a terrific driver, and just a very pleasant, approachable person. The locations were nothing short of awe inspiring. These included Kaikora which was a brilliant place for whale watching, Punakaiki providing a terrific backdrop for watching the sunset at the beach, and Abel Tasman with a fantastic combination of hills, forest, and coastline. This list is by no means exhaustive and I was very lucky to have great times with equally great people. Would recommend this tour for those wishing for a trip packed full of information and stunning locations.

Telli was a brilliant guide an alsolute pleasure to have could not have picked a better guide. Really went out of his way to accommadate us and help in anyway possible!! Really fitted in well with the group. Give the man a raise!! :)

The Wild Kiwi two week tour around the South Island was one of the best experiences of my life! New Zealand is such a gorgeous country and this tour really shows you all of the different types of landscapes, towns, and activities the South Island has to offer. It was jam packed with hikes, boat rides, scenic flights, drives through mountain ranges, dinners (including karaoke) and overall great vibes. Our guide Siobhan was superb, she made the whole trip run so smoothly and was a fun, experienced guide. She even organised a limousine to dinner for us one night which was very funny - overall she did an amazing job! Everything was well communicated in terms of which activities we could choose from and how much they would cost - in the scheme of things I think the activities were reasonably priced, however being from the UK our conversion rate is different to others. Overall I’d highly recommend Wild Kiwi tours for solo travellers, groups of friends, or couples that want to travel with a likeminded group and experience the immense beauty of NZ!

We had the BEST week with Siobhan during this tour! You are completely taken care of and all the activities on offer are once in a lifetime and also excellently organised. If you want a stress free trip round NZ and an opportunity to meet likeminded people then this is a great option!
