Small Group Northern Voyager 7 Days Tour

Loved every little bit of the tour. For my first ever overseas trip solo, my tour guide Shiobhan was so organised and prepared. She had every detail planned to a tee. Wild Kiwi tours are exceptional. Shiobhan made everything so much easier and drove us everywhere. A week to remember and treasure forever with new friends I have made from all over the world! Now I have places to go for my next trip!

Amazing experience. Guides (Tom and George) both had so much knowledge along the way. They knew all the little local secret spots. I like that we could pick and choose our bigger activities along the way. Group was small (8), and we all got close. Good vibes only! It was all our mission to find a decent bar with a pool table in every town. In the end, 7 days didn’t feel like long enough. We hope to be back soon! Thank you Wild Kiwi team!

The 7 day Northern NZ tour was very well organised, great accomodation and range of activities offered. Guide Tom was great - very experienced, great food reccomendations and local knowledge. Would reccomend the trip especially to solo travellers. Great value for money.

I had an amazing experience doing the Northern Voyager Wild Kiwi trip. You know the trip was phenomenal when it felt like I was travelling with my best mates including the tour guide Siobhan, it was perfect!

As someone who has only done large group tours before this was such a selling point! I did end up on a very quiet tour of three and I was essentially the 3rs wheel but tour guide Tom made such an extra effort to take us around on little walking tours and Forrest walks it was almost like being on a private tour! Will kiwi is organised and professional and the whole thing was a breeze, relaxing and so so fun! Thank you for an amazing week!!

I did the North Island Tour with Tom as our guide and had a fantastic time! I was hesitant booking my trip over the winter season, but it turned out to be GREAT! The weather did not impact activities, even for water activities (wetsuits provided on cooler days that were thick enough to not feel cold); and the scenery was incredible. Tom was an excellent guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to share interesting information about New Zealand. He took us to some of the best scenic spots for amazing photos and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and activities to enjoy along the way. His local insights really enhanced the experience. I had an unforgettable trip and would highly recommend this tour, especially with Tom as your guide!

I had the best week touring the North Island. No day was the same and there were always plenty of activities to choose from at every location. I was sceptical about group tours before I signed on with Wild Kiwi, yet I finished this week feeling like I had made a new family. Our tour guide Telli was delightful.. great guy 🙌 I would recommend Wild Kiwi tours as a good way to see the best of the north island 👍

Having done the North and South islands back to back, this is definitely the better of the 2 Islands to visit if you're looking for a variety of activities to participate, the more prominent things to see and generally getting more bang for your buck. The sheer variety of things we got to see and do, with Telli (the host) allowing our group of 8 to get to everything on time and in a reasonably content state. Hobbiton was evidently the main draw for the group, as it was one of the only activities which the entire group (short of Telli) participated at once. The other being the Sulphur pits near Rotorua.

The "Northern Voyager" week was the perfect start to our 3-week tour of New Zealand. We experienced the North Island really intensively – sometimes together as a group, sometimes individually with helpful activity sheets. My personal must-do: The Tongariro Alpine Crossing! Huge praise to our guide Tom. He was simply terrific, whether he advised us on the daily planning, managed breakfast or answered our thousand questions. The selection of activities is great, and if there was nothing suitable, there were always top hiking tips as an alternative. The hostels were absolutely fine. You share the rooms (about 4–8 beds) with the people in the group, which makes you grow together extremely quickly. The trip is also ideal for solo travellers to get to know the country in a relaxed way. I can definitely recommend Wild Kiwi (also the other tours!)!
