Small Group - Half-Day Hawke's Bay Winery Tour

Definitely don’t recommend. Despite booking a half-day wine tasting tour three months in advance and having confirmation that payment had been taken, I realised the night before I arrived that the promised email from the company had not arrived so I rang them from the hotel. I was given some story about how they had had their servers hacked hence not sending me an email. They confirmed they would be collecting me for my tour from my hotel and what time they were coming. Then less than ½ hour later (once the office had closed!!) an email arrived cancelling my tour as no one else had booked onto it. So I am not sure why they confirmed it in advance, nor why they did not contact me earlier so I could make arrangements with another company for my only day that I am in Napier as I am touring around New Zealand. Zero points for customer service, honesty and being decent human beings. The email said they had refunded my credit card, however I am still waiting for this to happen.

I had the BEST time on this wine tour! I’m traveling solo and don’t know much about wine to be honest, but this was one of my favorite things I’ve done in NZ so far! What a great experience for the price tag. Since I am solo traveling, it was just so much fun to meet the other couples and everyone was just the sweetest. Kirsty was our guide and she went absolutely above and beyond with her knowledge, as well as making sure we were all having the best time possible. I can’t recommend this enough!

Such a great experience. We’d done this tour before as it was so good. Anil was a terrific guide and took us to four wineries which were all very good. Wines were excellent too.

Our driver/guide, Anil, was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. He made the vineyard tour (along with the great wines) very enjoyable! Highly recommend.

What a fun filled day of wine tasting! Anil was excellent guide in providing knowledgeable information about the wineries in the area and the history of Napier. Definitely a MUST if you have the time.
