Small-Group Arab Bath Experience in Hammam Al Ándalus Palma

I treated myself to a massage followed by time in the spa, and it was one of the most relaxing experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, everything was designed to help you switch off. The spa has a no-talking policy, creating such a peaceful atmosphere that I was able to completely escape from the outside world. My massage was absolutely wonderful—authentic, deeply relaxing and one of the highlights of my visit. Every member of staff made me feel genuinely cared for, and I was treated like royalty from start to finish. I loved being able to sample the different herbal teas throughout my visit, and every little detail had been thought of. Complimentary shampoo, cleanser, moisturiser and even disposable combs were provided, so there was nothing you needed to bring or worry about. The spa was also perfectly managed and never felt overcrowded. At several points I had the pools entirely to myself, making the experience feel even more luxurious. This place is a true hidden gem. If you're looking for somewhere to completely unwind and recharge, I can't recommend it highly enough. I genuinely can't wait to return.

On arrival the hosts were very friendly and we felt nurtured and a sense of calm on arrival. The host was also very friendly and looked after us through our booking. Sadly though the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. Although they mentioned several times in the waiting area the beautiful scents and sprays they use in the spa and that you can buy them there was no aroma at all in the spa which would have made a world of difference to the experience. The place is much smaller than we expected but that wasn’t an issue as not over crowded and it had a nice mood. However one couple thought it was their private sanctuary and made us feel like we were intruding. Cuddling and kissing. This should be discouraged as makes other guests feel awkward! My massage was very nice but my daughter’s masseur was sniffing and sneezing all the way through the massage. At one point was massaging with one hand and blowing her nose with the other. She sneezed into her hands and then put her hands straight on my daughter’s face which was not hygenic. I discussed this with the host after the massage as it really spoiled the experience for both of us, as I was on the next massage table in the same space and all we could focus on during the massage was the sniff every 20 seconds for the full duration of the massage. I realise people can get ill or have an allergy but the spa should be aware that this affects everyone trying to relax. After the massage we were handed towels that smelled of really strong damp. That’s all we could smell after our massage was the damp towel smell. Anyone running a spa should know the importance of smell and something that can be easily avoided. The whole place just smelled a bit damp. We were offered more free time in the spa by way of apology. A partial refund would have been the right thing to do as I would have felt less inclined to leave this review.

From start to finish you will feel relaxed and well looked after. The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. The Hammam is beautifully designed and feels luxurious. The changing room have everything you need. The massage was excellent, very relaxing and I enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend visiting and I would love to return someday.

Long, chaotic check-in process. Tiny dressing room, inadequate bathroom facilities. Massage was very expensive for a 30-minute oily rub. People are ushered in and out like cattle. My friends were accused of stealing oil bottles, very unpleasant experience.

The staff are very helpful and informative. Facilities are clean and there is a lovely atmosphere. My wife and I opted for the massage and sauna experience. Well worth a visit

The baths and the massage were amazing! Highly recommend if in the area. The staff did a wonderful job and were very kind.

Quiet voices seem to be the theme here. The staff maintains the vibe by speaking softly so as not to disturb others. It was a good experience here, taking a bath and getting a massage. There is a warm pool, a small cold one, a warmer small pool, a steam room, and showers. The massage was relaxing and met my expectations. The staff was professional. You need to generously apply body moisturizer as the water experience can leave certain skin types, like mine, dehydrated and dry. The location is at the bottom of an apartment building near the Plaza Espana. It is an easy walk from the center of the old town.

I wanted to attend a Hammam ritual with my daughter for 2 hours. A disappointment and for 2 h bathing for 55 euros/person also much too expensive. . Reception: complicated, finally clarified to us that our package includes only the use of the installation for 2 h, no cleaning ritual with soap, glove and oil massage (this would have to be booked separately). I was able to buy the classic glove but it was only told me later inside, I am not allowed to use it. 😡 Unfortunately, I see little positive to mention. Too small a wardrobe, too many people at the same time for the small spatial conditions. Solution with street shoes in barefoot area poorly solved, unhygienic, problem is only shifted to wardrobe. In the steam sauna, a much too strong essential oil was used, which burned our eyes and we left the room immediately. The cloth provided, which is traditionally used instead of a swimsuit, is in no way enough to undock. 😂 There is no obligation for users to shower at first and I doubt the hygiene. 🤪 Not recommended! 🫣👎

A nice experience but a little disappointed by the lack of privacy whether for baths or massages. Passing a person who gets massaged, I found it average. It's kind of the factory. On the other hand a very nice welcome, nice bath and music, very well realized massage and tea is excellent.
