Salt Lake City Highlights
As soon as you arrive to Salt Lake City, take this tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and he answered everyone’s question's. You get to see all of SLC highlights in the right amount of time. You will make a few stops on this tour, one to sample some pretty good chocolate and another for ice cream. The driver recommend restaurants, a sky bar, and other places with live music. Unfortunately, I took this tour the night before we left and were unable to go to the places that he recommended. I wish I had taken this tour on my first day in SLC. It’s definitely worth the price. Great for solo travelers, couples and familles.
I highly recommend this tour.

Viator review: SLC Downtown Evening Bites & Landmarks Tour
Joseph, your advice to take this tour as soon as you arrive is exactly right, and it's one of the reasons we built it the way we did. Getting oriented early means the recommendations actually have somewhere to go, whether that's a restaurant, the sky bar, or a spot with live music you'd never have found otherwise.
Sorry you ran out of time to use them on this trip. Hopefully that just gives you a head start for the next visit.
Thank you for the recommendation, and we're glad the chocolate and ice cream stops landed well.

SLC life history back in the day.
It's a very interesting tour and my family had a better understanding of the town's history. The non-stop snacks in the bus with water is
A+ for great effort, the chocolate tasting was alright, a bit costly
in comparison to other known brands we've had.
One thing we learned is after the tour inside Caputo's there was a cookie specialty store which we would have wanted to taste more BUT they only had three last giant chocolate chip/salted cookies. That was yummier than the chocolate specialty store.
As for the artisan ice cream, a-ok for the warm weather, nothing special. Tilamook Creamery withstands the taste of any brands we've had. Our guide (can't remember his name) but he
stated good facts of the overall SLC history, kudos to his will to assist unprivileged kids searching to better themselves. It would have been more nicer if we could tour such as ONE of the many historical homes we passed by instead of eating at the chocolate shoppe or artisan ice cream.
Operator response
Thank you, Mario, for taking the time to share such detailed feedback! We’re glad your family enjoyed the tour and came away with a better understanding of Salt Lake City’s history.
We appreciate your thoughts on the tastings as well. We intentionally feature local artisan businesses to give guests a taste of something uniquely Salt Lake rather than nationally available brands, but we know everyone’s tastes are different. And it sounds like you discovered a pretty great cookie along the way!
We also really appreciate your suggestion about touring one of the historic homes. Access and timing can make interior visits difficult as part of an evening tour, but feedback like this is very helpful as we continue developing the experience.
Thank you again for exploring Salt Lake City with us and for recognizing our guide’s knowledge and community involvement!

Lovely evening tour of SLC
Moe gave us a lovely tour stopping at Caputo’s for chocolate and Hidden Oak for ice cream. There was only 3 of us, so assume the tour could have been cancelled - instead it was a great private tour!
Operator response
Thank you so much for your kind review! We're delighted you enjoyed the Evening Bites & Landmarks Tour with Moe. We never like to cancel a tour if we can avoid it, and we're glad we could make it happen—even if it turned into a private experience! We hope you enjoyed the chocolate at Caputo's, the ice cream at Hidden Oak, and discovering Salt Lake City with us. We'd love to welcome you back the next time you're in town!

Great experience!
The tour guide was incredibly kind and professional, with a great sense of humor. My family and I were the only ones on the tour, and the fact that it still went on as scheduled, rather than being canceled, meant a lot to us. That level of consideration is truly appreciated and not something you see every day. Highly recommended!
Operator response
Thank you so much for the kind and thoughtful review. We’re really glad the tour meant so much to you and your family. Even when it’s a small group, we do our best to honor our commitments and make the experience special, so it’s wonderful to hear that was appreciated. Thank you again for the recommendation, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime.

Comfortable and informative tour of SLC for families
I was surprised how comfortable I felt on what turned out to be a very pristinely cleaned and new bus. My kids loved the double-decker upper seating and the experience was a five out of five! Snacks and treats galore. Great narration with history I did not know about nor would I know where to look for it. I was pretty excited that along the way many of the restaurants offered discounts, some up to 50% for showing my ticket. The grand America hotel was a new discovery for all of us as well. I had no idea they have a little holiday walking tour there with a beautiful courtyard.
Overall the road was about an hour and a half and we had two stops where we could go in and enjoy chocolate samples for free with a famous chocolate shop. It was very comfortable to have kids on board with all their energy and everything. The environment was very laid-back but also engaging with a steady narration along the entire ride.
Operator response
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you and your kids enjoyed the comfort of the bus, the narration, and of course the treats — we love making the experience special for families. The restaurant discounts are always a fun bonus, and The Grand America holiday courtyard is a gem many visitors discover for the first time on our tour.
For anyone reading this, our Christmas Lights Tour runs nightly through December 31, and it’s a cozy, easy way to enjoy the city’s holiday displays without worrying about traffic or parking.
We hope to welcome you and your family aboard again soon!

Cancelled by tour operator
Tour operator cancelled the tour 1.5 hours before the excursion. I travel extensively and have never had this occur. Very unfortunate as I was looking forward to touring the city. Had I known with earlier notice, I would have booked something else or changed my travel plans.
Operator response
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m truly sorry for the short-notice cancellation. We understand how disappointing that must have been, especially when you were looking forward to seeing the city.
We only cancel when it’s absolutely necessary—typically due to unforeseen operational issues or staffing emergencies—and we always try to notify guests as early as possible. Your feedback is valid, and we’re reviewing our processes to ensure communication happens sooner whenever possible.
We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance on your next visit to Salt Lake City so we can provide the full experience you were expecting.

Go before dark to see better. City was lit up and beautiful but could not see some things very clear. Also slow tour down a little.
Operator response
Thank you for the great feedback! We’re so glad you enjoyed the night views of the city. You’re absolutely right — as the days get shorter, it can get a little too dark to see some of the landmarks clearly. We’ve just moved our departure time 30 minutes earlier to make sure guests can enjoy both the sunset and the city lights in the best possible way. We appreciate your helpful suggestion and hope to welcome you aboard again soon!
