Absolutely fantastic experience! We were so excited to see Pavel again after he had already given us another wonderful tour earlier in the week, and this trip was just as amazing. Pavel is truly an exceptional guide. He is professional, kind, knowledgeable, and so easy to spend the day with. Since we had already toured with him before, it felt like seeing a familiar friend again, which made the experience even more special. He has such a great way of sharing history and local stories in a way that is interesting, fun, and never overwhelming. The Slanic Salt Mine was incredible and such a unique place to visit, and Dracula’s Grave added the perfect mysterious touch to the day. Pavel made everything smooth and stress-free, from the travel logistics to the timing at each stop. He was thoughtful, patient, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. We cannot recommend Pavel enough. After two tours with him, we can confidently say he is one of the best guides we have ever had. This was a memorable and wonderful experience!
Our driver was very informative and friendly. We asked lots of questions about the economy and general life in Romania and I walked away with an understanding of life for many in Romania. The Salt mine was a unique experience that I won’t forget.
Alin was amazing. Communicated ahead of time, picked us up in lobby of hotel, and was a wonderful tour guide and driver. Made the drive go by quickly telling us about history of Romania and answering any questions we had. My mother was using a walker and he was assisting her at every opportunity. Salt Mine was awe inspiring, lunch was amazing with Bear meat, and Vlads tomb was serene. I can’t recommend Alin enough!
What an amazing place! Could not believe how vast the mine was. Reading about how it was created was fascinating. We went by train, with just one change and it was a super easy journey from Bucharest. It’s a nice day trip. Well worth the visit. Allow several hours for the trip. Take into account that you have to catch the shuttle transfer from the ticket office to the mine and back. We only queued for about 5 minutes each way. There are activities to do inside as well as the Planetarium (not included in the ticket). We stopped off at the hotel by the train station and had a late lunch there as well.
This experience was perfect from start to finish. Our guide, Octavian, communicated with us before the trip to confirm pickup location & time and this was greatly appreciated. Octavian was extremely knowledgeable about Romanian history which he shared with photos throughout the drive. We arrived at the Salt Mine ahead of the crowds and Octavian guided us through the entire entry process and accompanied us into the mine. The mine was incredibly beautiful and we were provided with as much time as we needed to take it all in! Following this part of the tour Octavian drove us to Casa Seciu where we enjoyed a delicious winery lunch and views. Our final stop was at Snagov Monastery. This beautiful structure was definitely worth seeing. And, of course, we loved hearing the historical information about Vlad the Impaler that Octavian shared. An awesome day with an awesome guide!
Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear that you had a perfect experience from start to finish with Octavian. His dedication to ensuring a smooth and informative journey truly makes a difference. We’re glad you enjoyed the Salt Mine, the winery lunch, and the visit to Snagov Monastery. Your kind words about Octavian and the tour mean a lot to us. We hope to welcome you back for more memorable adventures in the future!
We are from México, and we can say that we have the best tour guide ever. Was a great one-day tour. Thanks, for everything, Bogdan.
Knowledgeable tour guide, told us a lot of fun facts and funny stories. Loved every place we visited. He even stopped to show us magnificent views on the way. I would recommend him to anyone and I would definitely choose him for other tours.
A wonderful day spend with a knowledgable, funny and patient tour guide. We left the crowded Bucharest and we spent a relaxed day visiting amazing new places. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see diverse places.
It was a wonderful day and the guide was full of knowledge and knew how to make our trip perfect. The salt mine ia incredible, Snagov monastary full of history and the winery full of flavour
