Nice tour. Do not miss. We purchased tix ahead of time and were taken in on time.
Tickets to the Washington Monument are FREE on the Park Service website. They go on sale at 3 pm each day and you need to log in right then. Tickets go fast. That said, I did pay $60 for 3 tickets to assure that I could get availability on a particular day.The reason for that high cost: a "self-guided tour" of the Monument is what I was paying for (I received an email that said that). The information in that "tour" is available FREE on the walls of the Monument. I learned nothing new from the Viator information. Unless you absolutely must have a specific date, this is an utterly unnecessary expense.
The experience was fine but the rangers/guides were impatient and pushy. They were not apparently interested in providing us with a great experience.
Great to see the view of where everything is in perspective. You can also see how trashed the White house really is. Lots of stuff in D.C is blocked so you can see everything from there.

Total scam!! Didn’t receive anything, then when you call the number to New York they pick up in silence on a cell phone that stays that way until they disconnect you. Called about 30 times and nothing as we sat out in front of the monument. Even the park ranger told us that Viator was a scam. Viator is more like Violator. Don’t was your time because you’ll end up doing a charge back to get your money back thus wasting more time. TOTAL SCAM.
We’re sorry you were frustrated, but we need to clarify the facts regarding this reservation. The Washington Monument tickets for this booking were provided to the guest in three separate ways: they were emailed, sent by text message via a ticket link, and uploaded directly into the Viator system. In addition, the Viator voucher clearly states in red lettering that the Viator voucher is NOT the Washington Monument admission ticket and directs the guest to access the separately provided tickets. Our records therefore show that the tickets were issued and made available before the scheduled visit. We also strongly disagree with characterizing this as a “scam.” Attractions4us is an established tour and attraction provider, and this reservation included valid Washington Monument tickets that were delivered through multiple channels. We understand that missing or overlooking the separate admission ticket can be frustrating, especially while standing outside the monument. However, saying that nothing was received does not reflect our delivery records. We would be happy to provide Viator with the email, text-message, ticket-link, and system delivery records associated with this reservation so they can independently verify that the tickets were provided.
Absolutely terrible! Never even got the tickets! Called the number about 30 times. You get a number to a NY number, it picks up in silence then disconnects. Total scam. Sat out in front of the monument for 30 mins and even the ranger said it was a scam from Viator aka Violator. Don’t waste your money on this! You end up having to do a charge back on your credit card. Scam!!
We take accusations of fraud seriously, so we want to clarify what occurred with this reservation. Our records show that the Washington Monument admission tickets were successfully provided to this guest through multiple channels: the tickets were emailed, a ticket link was sent by text message, and the tickets were also uploaded into the Viator system. The Viator voucher also states clearly in red lettering that the voucher itself is NOT the admission ticket and that the separately provided ticket must be used for entry. We understand how frustrating it can be to have difficulty locating a ticket while at the attraction, and we regret that the guest was unable to reach a representative by phone at that time. However, stating that the tickets were never provided and calling the transaction a “scam” is not consistent with our documented delivery records. We maintain records showing when and how the tickets were delivered and are happy to provide those records to Tripadvisor/Viator for verification. We encourage guests to carefully review their voucher, email and text messages before arrival, as Washington Monument admission requires the separately issued ticket and QR code—not the Viator booking voucher.
