Sicilian Cooking Class in Palermo with Francesco

Francesco’s cooking class in Palermo was completely hands-on and made me feel like a true local from the very first minute. We learned how to make authentic Caponata, Pasta alla Norma, and delicious eggplant meatballs using secret family recipes and traditional techniques passed down through generations. I tasted delicious local ingredients during the class that we used in our recipes and Francesco explained me how to choose the best ones. Simply yummy! The atmosphere was warm, fun, and welcoming, I genuinely felt at home, like part of a Sicilian family. And the best part? I already made the Pasta alla Norma again at home! If you want to experience Palermo just like a local, this class is an absolute must. Grazie Francesco for making me feel like a real Sicilian!

This was a fantastic day. Francesco and Roberta hold this "class" in Roberta's family apartment. It is spectacular and the kitchen is perfect for both observing and participating. Francesco is clearly an accomplished, experienced chef with high end restaurant experience who is eager to share the cooking style and recipes of his nonna. Everything about the day was wonderful, and it was lovely being invited into a home setting. I'm an accomplished home cook and I learned something!

Francesco is so experienced and very attentive to every details. I really enjoyed his class, with all the anecdotes about the sicilian cuisine and the recipes’ origins. The class is super fun, I learned a lot, laughed and had great time. The food? Authentic and simply amazing!!!🤩
