Long drives but worth the visit to the unesco heritage sites. Food also very good. Pick up experience was not positive, as they ask to be present at the meeting point at 7:00 but they know the tour will only depart around 8:00. So it’s just waiting time. And honestly departing earlier would prevent arriving back in the city around 21:00. But in general it’s a nice day tour out of Marrakech, more recommended than the Ourika valley tour, for example.
We spent a very nice day towards Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou. Beautiful places. Our guide Youssef made us discover this region by taking the time to stop at places with beautiful landscapes. Studio of the Athlas very interesting. Ait Ben Haddou to discover! The guide on the spot, knew how to talk to us about his village with authenticity. Thank you Youssef for a wonderful day!
The truth is, the trip is too long for what it is. Ait Ben Haddou is beautiful, but the truth is there was no longer any in Ouarzazate and there was nothing, they left us there for 40 minutes and we took a walk through empty streets and that's it. The guide told us not to buy anything in the shops in Ait Ben Haddou because they were very expensive, that we would have time in Ouarzazate, but there were 3 small shops there. Also, to eat they take you to a approved place that charges you €12 per menu with a drink on the side. The place was good! But you have no choice, that seemed a little curious to me🤔. 4 hours drive back You have to pay the entrance fee to Ait Ben Haddou (€3) and the guide asks for tipp.
Kudo to Ayman the driver! Ayman is very kind and pays attention to the needs of the clients. The visit of the site is a must.
Experience absolutely recommended! The journey is quite long but our driver Jamal was very courteous to make several stops since the group was present of the elderly. Ouzourate deserves even if you have not booked a visit to the studios or the museum because it is a very small village immune from tourism. The stop in Ait Ben Haddou was magnificent, the village and the view are wonderful and the guide was more than prepared and nice. Only note the restaurant affiliated with our group was too touristy for our tastes so if you have the chance I recommend you stop at some local dock.
Stay , at the top with abderrahim used to Marrakech it is by far the best driver we have always had smiling and good advice on everything that is done in Marrakech and around Still a big thank you to him for his kindness.
