Known as the “Pearl of Lake Como”, Bellagio rises at the point where the two branches of the lake meet. The village enchants with its elegant historic villas, gardens overlooking the water, stone staircases and picturesque alleys full of atmosphere. From the lake it offers one of the most iconic and photographed views of the entire area.

Before reaching the small village of Pescallo, the navigation will skirt the picturesque rock wall located in the east of Bellagio, creating a natural scenery of great impact. Pescallo is an ancient fishing village, intimate and authentic, with houses overlooking the water and a quiet and timeless atmosphere.

Once at Borgo di Rivabianca we will stop for a snack in the quiet waters of the small gulf, a private and relaxing corner nestled between lake and mountains. The village retains an authentic and silent atmosphere, with a few houses overlooking the water and a landscape that has remained intact over time.
From the bay you can see the ancient Lierna Castle, a medieval fortified complex overlooking the lake. Today some historical structures and parts of the walls are recognizable, testimony of the ancient defenses of the village.

Chill afternoon in the sun and water.
If you’re looking for a quick trip around the lake to see everything, this isn’t for you. If you want to enjoy the lake and escape the crowd for a chill 2 hours of relaxing boating seeing a few sites, swim in the lake for a few minutes this is perfect! Paolo was an amazing, charming host with a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge of the lake and the history of the area. Soak in the sun, swim in the water with a few apertivos… we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. When we come back to Lake Como, we will definitely be revisiting Paulo and his catamaran! It was a fantastic afternoon.

Great expirience
We had a wonderful time on the boat. It was not overcrowded, and it was possible to sit separately from the other guests if desired. Our guide was very professional and communicative. We would gladly go on another tour with him.

Wonderful trip around the lake with locals
Our guides, Paulo and Omar, were great! They showed us parts of Lake Como we didn’t know about and told us stories of growing up on the lake. The catamaran is beautiful, and the trip was comfortable, and we were served delicious and inventive appetizers and drinks. It was a wonderful morning on the lake!

On our honeymoon, last stop was lake como and we wanted a relaxed scenic boat trip and that’s exactly what we got!
Relaxed, scenic, beautiful, this was such a pleasant experience, Paolo and Omar were very nice, you can easily see they both love sailing and really enjoy their job. They were attentive but allowed us to enjoy the scenery and encouraged us to ask questions if we had any. We were provided with some snacks and a glass of Prosecco which were very much appreciated. Communication was good beforehand via WhatsApp. Omar was keen to ensure we got some nice photos to capture the memories and was helpful in taking some snaps. Faultless trip.

Beautiful day at the lake
We had a wonderful day thanks to Paolo and his catamaran. We started from Limonta and then passed by Bellagio and Varenna, I have always seen these villages from the mainland but I must say that seeing them from the lake is a beautiful new perspective, seeing Varenna from the lake reminds the landscape of the Cinque Terre. The weather was great and we could eat something on the boat, Paolo was very helpful to give us all the explanations about the territory and the catamaran. Experience recommended!

Shared Sailing Catamaran Tour on Lake Como with Snacks
Last Saturday I joined this lake tour and it completely exceeded my expectations. Even though I’ve been living on Lake Como for 30 years, I had never experienced it from this angle before. Most boat tours around here tend to be private and quite pricey, so this felt like a rare and wonderful opportunity.
Paolo, our catamaran captain, met us right at the pier in Varenna — such a convenient and central meeting point. Once on board Maru, we sailed past breathtaking spots including Bellagio and Villa La Gaeta, along with many other stunning locations. Paolo shared fascinating local stories and insights throughout the trip and was more than happy to answer all our questions.

Beautiful experience
Beautiful experience on a sailing catamaran on Lake Como, with pleasant sailing between suggestive views and a good aperitif break on board.
Relaxed atmosphere, nice ride and well-kept organization: a different and pleasant way to experience the lake.
