Shamakhi-Gabala group tour

I had a very disappointing experience with this travel company. Almost everything about the trip was poorly managed, except for our tour guide Ahmed, who was professional and did his best. The driver was extremely bad, making the journey uncomfortable and frustrating. The car provided was not suitable at all for long-distance travel, which made the trip even worse. To make things worse, the restaurant recommended by the company was overpriced and offered nothing special — definitely not worth the money. Overall, I would not recommend this company at all. The service was below expectations, and it’s absolutely not worth trying.

The experience was beautiful and enjoyable and the guide Ahmed was excellent and the schedule was fun and everything was organized with Smile and very easy and everything was on time ..

We were with the family on a field trip on 14.07.2025, in time a very long event - 12 hours (from 8.00 to 21.00). Our thanks go to our guide Eldar, a polite, tactful young man, who talked interestingly about the sights. Particularly enjoyed the Tufandağ cable car with its wonderful mountain views, the glass bridge at the very top of the climb with breathtaking views of the foothills of the mountains. Seven Beauties Waterfall: numerous steep staircases from one level to the next, a beautiful location at the foot of the waterfall where you can take many wonderful photos or just walk in the cold water. I liked it all. The only downside is the long drive and it proved difficult to enjoy the beautiful views in hot weather +35 degrees.

She was on the Shemakha-Gabala tour. Guide Eldar led the tour professionally, was friendly and attentive. The locations are interesting (Alpaca farm, Lake Nohur, photo area in the sunflower fields, suspension bridge to Ismailly). On the downside - the car didn't work air conditioning (just blew like a fan, hot air), drove with the windows open, was stuffy.

It was a wonderful journey, country is really beautiful and people are very friendly and lovely. Atmosphere, cleaning, services are all excellent. I didn't feel that i am new to this place.

Went on a field trip to Shamakh Gabala today. Amazing tour, stunning places and stunning guide Ildar!! Everything is interesting, clear, exciting. A very nice young man. Now for a tour to him alone! I highly recommend the guide and travel agency.👍

We booked Smile Azerbaijan Tour - it was a wonderful experience, especially because we had Nurshan Tabriz as our guide. She was warm, hospitable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the country. She truly made our trip special. Highly recommend her!

In May 2025, the couple from Belarus visited the Shemakh-Gabal excursion. The tour was long (departure at 9.00, return at 22.00), the group of tourists - less than 10 people, including English speakers, which for themselves assessed as a plus: a great opportunity to practice English with native speakers for free, to get from them new real information about life in their countries. Guide Ahmad is worthy of the best reviews : sincere and kind person, much knowledge, purely speaking Russian, aiming for results, free giving many valuable advice on vacation in the country and Baku. The minibus is not the best (as there were less than 10 people), but 'heavy' on the local mountains and manoeuvrable. Of the 200 km of road one way, about 30 km is on a bad dirt road, which is a downside, but not very critical. But it was possible to see many beautiful sites and locations, appreciate the country and its natural wealth from within. Conclusion: The description of the tour in the booklets corresponds exactly to reality. The cost of the tour is calculated on the effect and what I see is the best offer for Baku. I had a wonderful experience on the trip to Gabala. Everything was well-organized and ran right on schedule, which made the entire day smooth and stress-free. Our tour guide, Ahmed, was absolutely fantastic—very friendly, approachable, and always ready to help with anything we needed. He shared a lot of interesting information about the places we visited, which really added depth to the experience and made the trip even more memorable. The overall itinerary was exactly what I was hoping for, with a good balance of sightseeing, history, and free time to take in the beautiful surroundings. The transportation was comfortable, and the pace of the tour felt just right—not rushed at all. It truly lived up to my expectations, and I came away with some great memories. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Azerbaijan and looking for a smooth, enjoyable, and informative tour. Trip was good overall and tour guide Xayal was great. He explained everything well and conducted the tour smoothly. Xayal or Khayal as a guide made it a memorable tour.
