Imjingak, a symbol of Korean reunification desire, is a unique theme park featuring rides alongside barbed wire fences. It houses historical relics like the Freedom Bridge, used by 13,000 POWs for freedom, and a steam locomotive smokestack from the Korean War, abandoned for 55 years.
Bridge on Imjingang River, crossed by 13,000 POWs in 1953 during the Korean War, symbolizes their "return to freedom."
Korea's DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) is a military demarcation zone between North and South Korea, where military activities are prohibited. It remains a significant symbol of division on the Korean Peninsula since the Korean War. DMZ Theater The DMZ Theater, often located within or near the DMZ Exhibition Hall in DMZ serves as an immersive storytelling space where visitors can deepen their understanding of the Korean Demilitarized Zone and its significance. The theater offers a mix of educational and emotional experiences through carefully curated audiovisual content. DMZ Exhibition Hall An informative and symbolic space designed to educate visitors about the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a unique buffer zone that separates North and South Korea. This exhibition hall is situated near the DMZ, offering a closer look at the history, conflict, and aspirations for peace on the Korean Peninsula.
The DMZ tour's highlight includes exploring a North Korean tunnel, possibly for military purposes, with the 3rd tunnel extending 435 meters into South Korea. Visitors can also watch a documentary, view Korean War relics, and learn about the tunnel's discovery.
Dora Observatory provides a close-up view of North Korea, including Gaeseong City and the Gaeseong Industrial Complex. Visitors can also see a fake North Korean border village called "Propaganda Village," where lights are manipulated to create the illusion of activity.

We had a brilliant time on the DMZ tour with Hans Solo, our tour guide. The bus was on time and the day ran smoothly. There were plenty of opportunities to buy snacks and drinks throughout the day. Our family of four enjoyed all the stops and Hans was really informative throughout, explaining everything in detail. We learnt a lot! From the DMZ tour we joined a smaller bus to visit the suspension bridge with our new tour guide JJ. The walk up the bridge was difficult but completely worth it for the views! JJ was great and very knowledgeable explaining the history and answering our questions! A great day, even for our 8 and 10 year olds.
Han Solo made the DMZ tour a great experience - never a dull moment. I would definitely recommend this tour to all visiting S Korea. I first visited the DMZ in 1988, next 2013, and now 2026 which has been my favorite. Great job Han!
