Itinerary
With a collection of over 35,000 works on display, Paris' Louvre is the largest, most influential, and most visited art museum in the world. Although it's impossible to do the Louvre justice in just one day, we will grant you access to all of the highlights. From marvelous Greek sculptures like Venus de Milo to dramatic Delacroix paintings, your guide will take you to all of the Louvre's most inspiring masterpieces. Begin by meeting your guide under the statue of Louis XIV in front of the famous glass pyramid, and learn all about the history of this building before it became the museum we know and love today.
Your Louvre Museum Tour will take you to all of the most iconic paintings and sculptures housed in two of this massive museum's three wings. Your guide will highlight the most influential works from a wide range of periods including Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, the Renaissance, Neoclassicism and Romanticism. In the Ancient Egypt collections, take a close look at the sleek granite Great Sphinx of Tanis, considered to be the biggest and best-preserved in any Western museum. Explore two of Ancient Greece's globally recognizable sculptures - the armless Venus de Milo and the headless Winged Victory of Samothrace, universally considered some of the best-surviving original Hellenistic sculptures. See Paolo Veronese's Wedding Feast of Cana, JacquesLouis David's Coronation of Napoleon, Théodore Géricault's Raft of Medusa, and more. And of course, the Mons Lisa! Of all the thousands of paintings housed in the Louvre, Da Vinci's Mona Lisa remains its most popular and enigmatic work.

Renee was an excellent guide, very friendly and knowledgeable about the museum and it's collections and art history and history in general. He gave us a wonderful tour and recommended additional places to explore at the Louvre as you could spend days there.
Sara with Liv Tours was the perfect guide for an early morning tour of the Louvre. She was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. Being first to enter changes the experience and allows time to see things without crowds. Highly recommend!!
My tour of the Louvre with Joanna Bagnolini was unforgettable. From the moment we began, she crafted a narrative that tied together the museum’s vast collection in a way that felt cohesive and meaningful. She pointed out details I would have never noticed on my own, explained artistic techniques with clarity, and shared historical context that enriched every piece. Joanna’s expertise and enthusiasm transformed the Louvre from a massive museum into a guided journey through time. I would absolutely book with her again.
The Louvre is not climate controlled so be prepared to manage walking/standing for 2-1/2 hours (there are seats along the galleries to take a walk break.) If you are sensitive to heat and crowds, this may not prove to be an enjoyable activity. Our personal tour guide, Nazil, was super knowledgeable and very accommodating. I am quite appreciative she graciously guided us through the myriad of galleries and artifacts.
This tour was a highlight of our week in Paris. Laurent was kind, patient, and caring. Above all, he was brilliant. He taught us so much more than we could have ever gleaned from merely looking at the exhibits. The small group setting created a family-like unit, and under Laurent’s guidance, we all left the Lourve in absolute awe of what we had just seen.
Anais was our tour guide. She had great history behind the pieces. Very detailed history. Wish we could have seen more with a bit less detail of each item with the time we had her. Very friendly.
Our tour guide Kasia was knowledgable and fun, with interesting backstories on the art we saw. We really enjoyed her tour.
Laurent was a great guide for our family’s first trip to the Louvre. We saw the best works from each area and know where we’d love to spend more time on our next visit to Paris.
He was very nice and thought a lot about the art and the history. I definitely recommend.
Adam was great! Extremely knowledgeable and funny.
