Description
Explore beyond the crowds: a guided walk through Secret Antelope Canyon plus an overlook of Horseshoe Bend away from the public viewpoint, in one 2.5-hour outing near Page, Arizona. From our check-in facility on Indian Route 6098, a shaded, cushioned open-air 4x4 tour truck takes you on a six-mile off-road drive across Navajo Nation land. A short walk of about 300 meters leads to the canyon; inside, the walk is flat and sandy, with time to photograph the light on the walls without being hurried. At Horseshoe Bend, the truck reaches within about 100 meters of the rim; a quarter-mile round-trip walk over sandstone brings you to the edge, 1,000 feet above the Colorado River. Groups are usually limited to 12. Horseshoe Bend Tours is Navajo-owned and has operated since 2017. A Navajo Nation permit ($15 per person) is required and paid separately by each guest. Arrive 30 minutes early. Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time.

On our tours, we take you on a private off-road 4x4 drive for 6 miles (approximately 30 minutes) meandering through the desert, rolling hills and wash-beds. During the drive, we may see coyotes, foxes, bobcats, owls, hawks and other desert wildlife!
Our shaded, open-air 4x4 tour truck takes you on a thrilling six-mile off-road adventure to the entrance of Secret Antelope Canyon, followed by a 300-meter nature walk to the stunning slot canyon. With just a small number of guests, you'll have ample time to photograph and truly immerse yourself in this magical location.
Horseshoe Bend
At Horseshoe Bend Overlook, we'll avoid the congested public parking lot and take a private dirt road that leads to within 100 meters of the edge of the canyon. This private access, not open to the general public, means a much shorter walk to the rim and breathtaking views of the Colorado River winding around the Horseshoe Bend loop.

Felt like we were the only people in the canyon
Oh this tour!!! I can’t say enough good things about it! It was my mom’s second time doing it… That’s how good it is. Our guide was Moses and he was absolutely amazing! He helped us take some really incredible pictures and told us so much information about the area. This is the only tour company I would use for the slot canyons near Page, Az. Such small groups in comparison to the other tours and excellent for anyone that has a little bit more mobility issue. But it doesn’t matter whether you have a mobility issue or not. It is an awesome tour company. The BEST!!

Amazing private canyon tour! Super energy!
I had an amazing time on this tour! The views were amazing. The secret Canyon was unbelievably serene on this privately guided tour with Moses. Moses made us feel welcome and shared the Navajo nation, history with us and part of his ancestry. He also talked about the slot Canyon and also horseshoe bend and helped us with the photos. He took individual photos of each one of us. It was a quiet tour with super energy inside the canyon. I can’t say enough about it and look forward to coming back soon. Well worth the money!!

Terrific tour
Our tour guide Randy was phenomenal! He explained the Navajo tradition, the history of the canyon and encouraged us to ask questions and take our time through the entire tour. The pictures he took of us were outstanding and look professional! We had a wonderful time!

Two feathers was a great tour guide. The smaller group size and off road experience was a perfect fit for our family.

Not just another slot canyon!
Horseshoe Bend tours had to reschedule us twice but the wait was well worth it. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel by the tour guide Moe. We went early in in the morning and had the canyon to ourselves! Moe was an excellent tour leader, knowledgeable and friendly. He also took us to the Horseshoe Bend overlook far away from the larger crowds and again, we had the view to ourselves. We highly recommend this outfit. When seeing Secret slot canyon, its probably better to see it late morning-midday, as it combines features of both Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon with rays of light shining through the canyon.
