Description
Your Wine School is nestled above the Ligurian Sea in Monterosso, offering an intimate, educational tasting experience led by one of the town’s oldest families. Sessions begin daily at 12:30 PM and include a warm family welcome, with an introduction to the region’s rugged terroir, traditional winemaking methods, and the history of Cinque Terre wines.
Enjoy a curated tasting flight featuring two local Cinque Terre white wines, a delicate Cinque Terre wine, regional red, and the renowned sweet Sciacchetrà, all paired with freshly prepared Ligurian dishes such as focaccia, anchovies, fried cod fritters, polenta fries, and seasonal favourites, made daily using organic or local ingredients.
You’ll also receive food-pairing guidance in a relaxed setting, followed by a Q&A wrap-up and time to enjoy sea views or explore Monterosso al Mare.
Held on the sea-view terrace, this 2 to 2½-hour experience includes café at the end, ideal for couples, small groups, or special occasions.

Not great…
Overall the wine tasting part was fine but the actual food wasn’t very good at all. There was also mass confusion around the meeting location. Someone was supposed to great us and there was no one there and no signs either to indicate we were in the right place, so we waked by it. Tried calling and texting but that resulted in more confusion. Finally someone came out and asked if we were there for the wine tasting.
There is a restaurant in the same location so the wine school must work with the restaurant to host this. The cost was expensive for the food you received and again, food wasn’t very good. The wine was very good and the person who did the tasting was very nice and knowledgeable (Carlos?).

A excellent wine school
We booked a wine and food event here, and have to say it surpassed our expectations. We were served a delicious lunch, which was a selection of small plates, that were paired with the wines. A good explanation of the history of the regional wines, and also the types of dishes they served. This event is top quality, in a beautiful location, with knowledgable and courteous staff.. highly recommend
