A Sri Lankan highlight
After eating at the fantastic Sea Waves restaurant my husband and I went the next day to do a cooking course with Susanthi. We went by luxury car to fish and vegetable markets and chose produce then back to home to cook. We cooked over 7 dishes. All were divine. Susanthi is a delight and very entertaining. Definitely recommend. One of our Sri Lankan highlights.

The most warming food and host!
Sushanti, is an excellent teacher with a very fun attitude, we all had a great time! 3 out of 8 of us are vegan and we had 8 out of 9 bowls of different foods we could eat. They went to the fish market first, and then we all went to the vegetable market after where we Sushanti showed us a load of different vegetables and explained what they were and what they are used in, we choose 4 to make into 4 different dishes! We all came away with full bellies and new recipes! Thanks so much Sushanti for inviting us to your home and amazing cooking class space! We walked to Unawatuna beach after for a dip and some turtle spotting too! Didn't feel rushed at all, and very interactive would definitely recommend!

Highly recommend
This was one of the highlights of our trip! My son and I spent a very enjoyable morning with Susanthi, learning how to make Sri Lankan curries. The trip to the fish and vegetable markets to select the ingredients was very informative, and a great way to start the day. Susanthi and her family were warm and very hospitable, and the kitchen area where you cook and eat, was idyllic. My teenage son found the recipes easy to follow and said it was the best curry he’d ever tasted! I would have no hesitation in recommending this experience, or dining in their restaurant that is currently open from midday for lunch and dinner.

Great value, family friendly and memorable
My wife, 2 kids (7 & 9) and I enjoyed a cooking class with Susanthi.
The class started with a trip to the fish and fresh produce markets where we were taught about the local ingredients.
We then returned to the class for our lesson. Susanthi was very knowledgeable of the finer points to Sri Lankan cooking and accomodating with the four children in our group. We finished with a meal, which was exceptional.
I highly recommend this class as a part of your Sri Lankan journey.
On a side note: we struck up a conversation about getting around the island and Susanthi's husband, Virage, drove us to our new destination. It a brand new car, hes was a top driver and very knowledgeable. Id recommend using him if you are after a safe, professional driver

Our group of five had a fantastic time with Susanthi.
The visit to the local markets was a great introduction, and her explanations and cooking instructions were clear and easy to follow.
She is a warm and welcoming host, and meeting her lovely family, especially her grandchildren, made the experience even more memorable.
The relaxed atmosphere, authentic Sri Lankan cooking, and delicious lunch made this one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍👍
