Itinerary

The mysterious Sea Life London Aquarium experience is spread over three floors and starts by taking a submarine-style elevator to the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. Next, take a walk through the stunning glass tunnel underneath a tropical ocean. There is plenty of interaction along the way, from diving displays to optional touch pools and discovery zones. Other species you can see include green turtles, seahorses, octopus, zebra sharks and the ever-popular clown fish. The true highlight starts as you journey in the deeper, darker zone of the Pacific Ocean. Take a walk on the wild side and watch from a suspended glass platform as 10 species of shark swim beneath your feet. The exciting and diverse underwater world awaits you at Sea Life London Aquarium. One of the most popular and dramatic displays at Sea Life London Aquarium is the revamped Shark Reef Encounter where sinister Sand Tiger sharks, Bow Mouths, Black Tips and Grey Reefs are (with a shoal of less menacing fish to keep them company!). Get closer to some of the world’s biggest creepy crawlies in new interactive displays that allows 360° views of the most infamous jungle inhabitants in new Rainforest Adventure!

Menacing and threatening

I went with my 7 year old son on August 13, 2026. All visitors are required to walk past a photo 'opportunity' where the company takes a photo of you for a fee. The older man who greeted us and asjed "how many in your party?". The people before us said they didn't want a photo and were let through. I said "we will just walk through"... trying to save everyone time. The man shifted towards me and tilted his head, tightened his facial muscles, looked at me in a 'hard' manner and asked slowly and in a menacing manner... "how many in your party?". It was a deeply unpleasant experience that came right out of the blue and threw me. I reacted and was equally unpleasant in return. I went on to explain I was trying to save time and he said that he was stopping me from getting in the way of the photos again with the jaw jutting out and the menacing/threatening manner. I wrote an email complaint but the company makes it almost impossible to contact them save to buy things. I eventually received a reply that said they would pass my complaint on. The exclamation marks (!!!) they included made it feel like a humorous response for something that was threatening and unpleasant both for my 8 year old son and myself. This man should not work with the public.. especially children. He is a threat and if he worked for me he would be sacked forthwith. I am an older father recovering from a Whipple operation for duodenal/pancreatic cancer. This was only the second trip out with my son since I finished chemotherapy. This man ruined the trip for us.

Overall very good 👍🏻

Overall the best experience was very good but need to be a little flexible with times when it’s not overall busy. We purchased a sea life, London eye and madam Tussaud’s for about £60 which you go on to the web link and book your times. Be aware MT is not near the other attractions so take this in to account.

Unbelievably overcrowded

This could have been a great experience a there is a great selection of sea life however it was completely ruined by being overcrowded to the point where you couldn’t even get past people to see the exhibits, it actually felt dangerous as some of the areas were very cramped. We ended up not staying more than 20 minutes as it was too noisy and we had had enough of constantly being pushed by people. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

Operator response

Hi , Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit. During peak periods, such as weekends, bank holiday weekends and school holidays, we do tend to see a higher volume of guests than usual, so the attraction will often be a lot busier on those days. We do advise guests to book for less busy times and during off-peak periods where possible so they can avoid the crowds.

Very good experience

The experience at Sea Life was fantastic. It was visited by my two teenagers, and they were very impressed. They saw many sea creatures that they had never seen before. It was a wonderful experience for them.

An Absolute Must-Visit on the South Bank!

Had such a fantastic time at SEA LIFE London Aquarium! From the moment you step in, the displays are incredibly well done, clean, and interactive. The highlight for me was easily the sharks. Walking over the glass on the Shark Walk and watching them glide directly underneath you—and then seeing them up close in the main Ocean Tunnel—was breathtaking! The penguins at Polar Adventure were another star attraction; watching them waddle around and dive gracefully through the water was pure joy. Also, as a huge Disney fan, the "Finding Nemo" tank (Coral Kingdom) was pretty cool and completely took me back to my childhood. Spotting all the colorful clownfish swimming through the vibrant coral reef instantly brought back so many great memories! Great fun for all ages, super friendly staff, and an unforgettable day out in London. 10/10 recommendation!

Visit to the London aquarium

We spent about 2 hours in the aquarium. It was fairly busy but you only needed to queue a couple of times to wait and see certain things. The highlight was seeing the penguin enclosure. You can buy tickets to cover multiple places but we decided not to as we only wanted to see the aquarium and we got a discount through the national rail offer.

Fishy fun

This attraction is bigger than I expected and we enjoyed seeing all the sealife. It was busy as we visited in the school holidays but we managed to see as much as we wanted too. Particular highlights were the glass tunnel, penguins and jellyfish. There's a small cafe selling cold drinks/snacks at the top of the shark tank. Managed to get a seat looking out over them which was fab.
