Azores Sub is a fantastic dive operator on São Miguel island, and I'd highly recommend their services to fellow divers from around the world. Their fees are reasonable, and the staff are accommodating to your needs throughout the whole experience — diving with this shop is effortless. One tip: arrive early and claim a parking spot, especially during high season, as the local marina is a popular destination for many.

Our 16-year-old daughter and I booked eight dives each with Azores Sub Dive Center, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. From our very first email, the team was responsive, flexible, and genuinely helpful. Their personal approach and willingness to tailor the diving to our needs set the tone for the entire week. Every guid, instructor, helper was kind, patient, highly professional, and clearly passionate about diving. The crew was great fun while always making safety the top priority. We felt completely safe and in very capable hands throughout. The small dive groups made the experience feel personal, with plenty of interaction and attention. We would happily dive with Azores Sub Dive Center again.
We went for an introduction to scuba diving in a pool. Great support, great instructor (Razvan). Very serious, very professional. We really felt safe. The only small downside but not that serious... the dive takes place at the Pestana hotel, we felt a bit like intruders there. No space to change, no towel. A staff member was cleaning the pool, we really felt like we were bothering him. Otherwise a great time!! We loved it!! Thanks to everyone!!
I had a great time diving on Ilheu de Vila Franca. The dive center was very well equipped and well organized. I had a great dive instructor, and he led a fantastic dive where we saw tons of local sea life. The location was a quick boat ride from the center and took 2 hours for a single dive. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to see the sealife while visiting the Azores

A great first experience of Scuba Diving. Really calm and reassuring as we were a little nervous but was well worth giving it a go. We saw lots of different marine life and they were great at pointing them out.

My partner and I tried scuba diving with this company and had the best experience! Before we boarded the boat, they gave a very throughout breakdown of what to expect for the day and all of the safety protocol. I felt really confident going into the water and had a great time doing scuba! Special shout out to Jan who was my instructor. He held my hand and guided me through the entire experience. He pointed out numerous aquatic life so I didn’t miss a beat! The entire team was very kind. 10/10!
