We spent two incredible days diving with Aqua Adventures Eco Divers, and it was exceptional from start to finish. Our dive master, Nina, was knowledgeable, patient, and fun — making every dive safe, comfortable, and memorable. My wife completed her Advanced Open Water certification, and our 10-year-old earned his Open Water Diver certification, both guided with skill and encouragement. One highlight was the buoyancy skills test, weaving through hula hoops underwater and knocking over weights with our regulators — challenging, unique, and a blast. We also had an unforgettable encounter with a curious barracuda that came closer than I’ve ever seen in my 60+ dives. Over our trips, we saw an amazing variety of marine life: turtles, sharks, rays, batfish, and even an octopus, often enjoying 50+ minute dives thanks to their relaxed pace and excellent dive planning. Whether you’re brand new or highly experienced, Aqua Adventures Eco Divers delivers an experience that’s safe, exciting, and full of marine wonders. Well worth traveling from Cancun just to dive with them in Isla Mujares .

I signed up for the combination of PADI e-learning/in-person confined and open water dives with Aqua Adventures. It was my first time ever scuba diving and I got my certification! The staff was helpful and responsive. They are both professional and laid back, making sure everyone is safe and having fun. Dani was an excellent instructor; he made sure I had a great experience. We also saw a lot - turtles, rays, eels, and shark.

Boy where to start. This was one of the best dive shops we've got to spend this much time with. We were there for 7 days (6 diving, 1 whale shark). From the first person we met, when we walked into the door (Jason), to the crew on the boat, EVERYONE was super friendly and accommodating. My wife and I were there to do our Rescue diver course. Gus' hands on training was very intense and exhausting (in a good way). The spacious boat was awesome! I've been on boats before where it's crammed so full, you barely have space to put on your gear. This was not the case here. The DM to diver ration was very much appreciated. There were a couple 1st's for us on this trip and it was always good to know that we had help, if ever the occasion should arise. The dive briefings were very thorough. They had us so spoiled on this trip since they would take all of our gear, rinse it, store it, and set it up for us (when we weren't doing our required classes). We had booked the Dive and Stay package, and it was super convenient to be so close to the shop. On the days we weren't diving, we booked the whale shark excursion. We were fortunate to have enough whale sharks on that day to get 2 jumps. I can't say enough how friendly everyone in the shop was. Special thanks to all the members of dive shop and boat crews. I could go on and on, but my wife is telling me that I'm getting to wordy.

I haven’t been diving in 28 years and needed to recertify my PADI qualifications before I’d feel safe on a dive. Sebastian took me and one young fellow through a thorough classroom discussion then, after a short 2-1/2 block walk to the beach, covered all basic safety procedures in about ten feet of clear water right off of the beach. Instructions were extremely thorough and easy to follow. Thanks Sebastian for getting me ready to go on today’s reef dive.

The absolute best experience I could have hoped for. Pedro was my instructor. It’s clear he enjoys what he does and what he teaches. Learn with him and you will love and appreciate the diving experience and learn to do it safely. Sharon was so helpful for trip planning. Overall, unforgettable 3 days with Aqua Adventures in Isla Mujeres.

I'd like to give Pedro a shout out, he is a great instructor. Most issues were beyond his control. On our open water dives, the equipment leaked, they had to change out gauges , not sure what all happened but I ended up with no psi guage or air guage , I was told it would be ok just keep showing me your guage,this was a bar Guage I had no knowledge of . I should have cancelled the dive I know it is my choice, but I wanted to be certified. We made the dive the other students had leaking gauges also. It was very stressful, hard fro me to relax. No one was injured but their equipment needs to be rebuilt. Also I was told I would be certified to 60 feet the deepest dive they do is 25 feet, so never expected decompression stops, or safety stops. I will book another company to teach me. They are nice people, but didn't feel safe at all. Probably a great company to use if you have your own equipment, and just want a shallow water dive.

Did my aow with this dive center, and a few dives with another one. Aqua Adventures were just slightly better on all counts, from guides/instructors to quality of equipment.

Really enjoyable Advance Open Water course. Jasón was a great instructor- getting the right balance of teaching and fun. Had some great dives, MUSA is a must as it’s very different from your typical dive sites. All the equipment was first class and the shop was very welcoming and helpful with our questions, plus they had two very cute dogs!

During the 1st week of September 2021, I visited Aqua adventures Eco Divers and completed 8 dives. The weather was partly cloudy with sporadic rain or clear, and the ocean water bottom temperature was approximately 83-84°F. The area is located within the Meso-American Barrier Reef system. The time I spent at this dive shop was much better than I expected!!! Sharon was very nice, accommodating, and flexible scheduling my scuba dives and course even before I arrived. Additionally, Paul & Marie (instructors) made sure all the activities that I requested were done. I completed coral reef & drift dives, the RESCUE DIVER COURSE, and explored a shipwreck!!! I saw an abundance of beautiful sealife!!! Also, boat Captains Markos and Jhair were nice. This shop even sent me some really good pictures, afterwards, for the dives I completed. Paul was my English-Speaking Scuba Instructor, and he was proficient in training me in the Rescue Diver Course. I could not have had a better experience. It was a challenging course, but also fun and fulfilling training as a Rescue Diver there!!!
