When you pull in to the harbor park on the right hand side in the grassy field. Walk over to the dock and look for scuba tanks! We recommend wearing hat, sunglasses, and a sunshirt or jacket to cover your skin.
Certified divers only. Ni’ihau is known for being the best scuba diving in the state of Hawai’i! The scuba diving sites have vertical walls with seemingly endless bottoms and crystal clear visibility. Large wildlife sitings are common and include sandbar sharks, Hawaiian monk seals (found no where else on earth), walls of butterfly fishes, and manta rays. We do two dives. Jessie will be your dive guide underwater to keep you safe and point out wildlife! In between dives we serve lunch and do a tour of Lehua Crater pointing out all our favorite seabirds and showing off the beautiful “Keyhole”. We usually look for dolphins and manta rays as we do a mini tour around the Lehua crater. The boat ride to Ni’ihau is around one hour. The ride home is anywhere from one hour to an hour and 45 minutes depending on weather. The commuting time to Ni’ihau and back is almost half the time compared to other shops! Book with us if you want experienced crew, small groups and a shorter, faster boat ride!

Unforgettable
My wife and I had an unbelievable time diving in Ni’ihua. The Explore Kauai duo were super friendly, super experienced and provided some good food for the journey to the forbidden island. The diving at Ni’ihua was unmatched. We saw Monk Seals, over 15 sharks, eels, an octopus and even a manta ray. It was almost overwhelming to see so many cool things nonstop. I’ll be trying to get some family members out here.

Once in a lifetime
These people are incredible. Fun, laid back, but safe. No rush, but nothing wasted either. Diving was amazing! Knowledgeable teachers with a clear joy for the ocean and their jobs. They turned a once in a lifetime experience for us into a desire to dive here with them again over and over (whether we can is another topic). Dive site and sea life is epic.

Amazing Dive Off Ni’ihau
Jessie and Nick provide an amazing experience diving off Lahua Crater and Ni’ihau. I had been looking forward to this trip for months and it did not disappoint. They are very knowledgeable about the marine life in the area and due to the smaller group sizes provide a much more curated experience that did not feel rushed at all. We even stopped by to view other marine life like manta rays, spinner dolphins, and humpback whales on our way to the dive sites. Would definitely return and dive with them again the next time I am in Kauai.

My Best Dive!
This is our second trip with Jessie and Nick. I can’t say enough good things about them. They’re not just very professional, they’re also excited about what they do. We saw some whales in the distance and ended up spending almost an hour whale watching on our way back to Kauai. We caught a tuna, also not part of our package. AND, went scuba diving at the most amazing spots! What an incredible journey!!

See ALL that Hawaii waters have to offer!
If you want to see the total diversity of underwater wildlife Jessica and Nick are great. We have dived in Kauai 30 times and while the lava tubes and turtles are cool there is sooo much more to see. Yes, you will see plenty of turtles as well. They are passionate, genuine, and we went years before finding them and having all that Hawaiian waters have to offer.

BEST MEMORY EVER!!!!
Hands down, this was the BEST experience! First off, Nick and Jessie are adorable. The entire day felt like we were hanging out with close friends on their boat. Nick is a confident sea captain so the ride to and from Ni'ihau in the winter (which typically could be a bit bumpy) was safe and smooth. Jessie's love for the ocean and it's creatures was contagious. During our dives, she enthusiastically guided my family of 6 through what is clearly her favorite place on earth-pointing out curious Hawaiian Monk Seals and gorgeous sharks. On the boat, she shared her knowledge of all the creatures around us-giving us an increased appreciation. They took care of EVERY detail-from perfectly fitted suits and equipment to the delicious lunch. The day with them will forever be our FAVORITE memory of Hawai'i. THANK YOU, Nick and Jessie! We can't wait to return!
Operator response
Wow, this truly made my day!!!! Thank you so much for such a kind and thoughtful review. It really did feel like we were spending the day with friends, and I loved being able to share one of my favorite places on earth with your family. Guiding you through the dives and pointing out the ocean life we love so much is exactly why I do this.
I am so glad the crossings were smooth, the dives were special, and that all the details came together to make it such a memorable experience. Knowing this is one of your favorite Hawai‘i memories means more to us than you know. We cannot wait to welcome you back out on the water again.
Mahalo,
Jessie

Great dives and good vibes!
I would highly recommend Nick and Jessie and their dive operation to anyone. They are safety conscious but also relaxed. Their hospitality on board was unmatched. Jesse even baked us some blueberry bread! They are very knowledgeable about the Dive sites. They are also very at tuned to the weather and conditions. I would not hesitate to book another trip with them.
