Welcome Aboard Schooner Applejack in Boothbay Harbor; your Maine Vacation starts here! Join the Schooner crew for a sunset sail adventure on Boothbay Harbor’s oldest windjammer. Help hoist sails or take a turn at the wheel as we set a course out past Burnt Island Light, Squirrel Island, Ram Island Light and the outer islands of Boothbay. Keep a sharp eye out for porpoise, Osprey, Bald Eagles, and harbor seals as we slip by local boats setting their pots or hauling in the lobster catch of the day. We have the best, most intimate sailing vessel for exploring Boothbay Harbor. Enjoy the beautiful coastline on our deck with a 360 degree view from every seat.

Lovely if you like being on the water. You sit in an open area or in a well at the stern. Note that you won’t have a great view of the scenes if you are in the well. Staff very personable, provide good history of the area. Be sure to bring a sweater or hoodie as it does get chilly if you are on the sunset cruise.

Brian & Marison were great. Brian was very knowledgeable about pretty much anything we asked - he really made the sail enjoyable.great views of the harbor.

This is our second time on the Applejack! We love going out on this boat. It's a bit smaller than some other tour vessels, which we absolutely love!

Nice, relaxing sunset sail out of the harbor. The crew was the best part- they were wonderful and shared history of the area throughout the sail. I do wish we went out a little farther. Also, it would have been fun to see more sea life (although that's not on the crew or company). The sunset was beautiful but you can't go wrong going during the day either because it was quite chilly in the evening.

This trip was beautiful. The boat is comfortable and gorgeous. The Applejack is capped at 14 guests and 2 crew, so it is not crowded, and the smooth sailing through calm water during golden hour was magical. This is a stunning way to explore Boothbay Harbor at sunset. If you love history, you will enjoy the crew's deep knowledge of American history and how this harbor contributed to it. I was catching up with an old friend, and we were able to chat in our area of the boat without listening to all the history :). Alcoholic drinks on board are super reasonably priced. The experience was perfect.

This was an amazing sail! The Captain and Mate were amazing! Captain Merrison and Brian were so friendly full of smiles very friendly.. sail was amazing. Also gave us a little history and pointed out things… We saw lots of harbor seals on this sail. I highly recommend this sail.

Sailing into the sunset with Halley and her side kick, a young Ernest Hemingway was an amazing adventure! They were courteous, gracious and a very warm reception. Can’t wait until next year to sail with them again! We would highly recommend!

I had a bit of trouble finding parking and then finding the meet-up area, but I had allowed extra time, so this wasn't a serious problem. The captain and Veronica, his first mate, were lovely people who answered questions and did their best to make the sail fun and informative. Despite there being little wind at the dock, the captain was able to find a breeze and therefore the sails were hoisted with the help of volunteers, who wanted to participate. There were alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for sale on board. The sunset was pretty, despite it being cloudy and cool. The weather was starting to clear. I recommend this company and it's staff for providing customers with a pleasant end of day sail.

Views were serene and spectacular. We saw a pod of dolphins!!! Crew was great and the drinks were cold. Met a friendly couple and made new friends!
