Itinerary
Your tour will begin at Hull's Cove Visitor Center, where you will climb up Paradise Hill to enjoy a stunning view of Bar Harbor, Porcupine Island, and Frenchman's Bay. Next, you will proceed towards the east end of Witch Hole Pond, until you reach Duck Brook Bridge. This section of the Carriage Roads spans over 2.5 miles, and there is a restroom available at this location.
Once we pass the Duck Brook Bridge, our tour operator usually takes a break at a beaver pond where we can observe a large community of the rodents actively working on their house and dam. After that, we continue our journey towards Eagle Lake, where we head down the west side of the lake. The distance between Duck Brook bridge and the south end of Eagle Lake is 4 miles.
After passing Eagle Lake, you will soon reach the west side of Jordan Pond, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Penobscot and Pemetic mountains. During the tour, you will stop to see the West Branch Jordan Stream Bridge, Cliffside Bridge and the Amphitheater Bridge. At the southern end of the pond, you will have a chance to take a 20-minute break at Jordan Pond House or, if you prefer, use the time to ride on a short loop down to the Cobblestone Bridge. This section of the ride covers a distance of 6 miles.
There is no admission fee, and visitors can stay for about 15 minutes. While there won't be enough time to dine, there is a quick grab-and-go food service, a gift shop, and restrooms available.
After leaving Jordan Pond House, you will need to ride an ebike for 5 miles on the Carriage Roads until you reach the north end of Bubble Pond. This particular section of the trail is very serene and picturesque, with dense forests, streams, and ponds. There is a restroom available at this location.
The last part of the ebike adventure through Acadia National Park Carriage Roads is around 5 miles long. When you leave Bubble Pond, you'll head up to the east side of Eagle Lake, where you can enjoy some afternoon sun. You'll then ride along Breakneck Pond and the west side of Witch Hole Pond, before finally descending from the Carriage Roads and returning to your starting point.

I loved the Excursion but they should know that these are E-1 bikes. Also you need to get a parking pass. These are things Island Time doesn’t advertise
Paul was a wonderful guide on our E-bike ride around Acadia. He was very informative, patient and knowledgeable. Paul also has a gentle, kind and warm personality that is easy to feel comfortable around right away. Acadia is truly a special place and you can tell that Paul has great respect & love for it which makes you love it even more!! Also, the E-bikes were very comfortable and very nice!!
Had a fantastic experience with our guide Wilton seeing Acadia National Park through the carriage roads on e-bikes. It’s not often I feel that a particular tour over delivers and exceeds my expectations going in, but this one certainly did. It was the highlight of our trip and I would highly recommend this tour and company to anyone.
My wife and I really enjoyed the Cannondale E bikes on the carriage paths on Acadia Paul our guide was excellent and very accommodating and very knowledgeable about the park
Great experience, definitely would do again. Loved the tour guide Thomas and the bikes were awesome. Carriage roads were in great shape and the ride was very interesting.
Do the bike tour! My partner and I did the bike tour on our first day at Acadia, and it was perfect for getting oriented to the park without having parking stress. Pete was such a great guide (and photographer!). I highly recommend this e-bike tour when visiting Acadia.
Wilton was a great guide. He gave us lots of information about the park history at each stop. There were many stops with beautiful views and also times of just riding and enjoying the scenery. The bikes were easy to ride and the power battery helped on the hills. Amazing day! Loved it!
This should be the top activity on any visit to Acadia. The ride was virtually effortless, full of spectacular scenery, and Acadia history provided by the guide. Cathy was an amazing guide who clearly loves what she does. Our group was game, so she took on on an extra carriage road for more great views of Acadia and the surrounding waterways and islands.
E-bikes on the carriage roads are the way to go in Acadia. John gave us an afternoon tour (rained out in the morning) and we felt like we had the beautiful park to ourselves. Stunning scenery all afternoon.
Paul was an excellent guide through Acadia. The Carriage Road tour is very impressive. Paul is full of so much information and knowledge about Acadia we loved all his stories. Must so when in Acadia.
