The ship will remain there for 1 hour and 15 minutes and if you want, you can follow the small path to reach the top where the active craters are located. There you can take pictures ,see the rocks still smoking and where it strongly smells brimstone.
Palea Kameni

After your return back to the ship,we depart for the island of Palaia Kameni where the hot springs are located , the famous natural mud baths, which have been created after the volcanic eruptions. In the small bay of St.Nickolas,the water temperature varies from 30 to 35 degrees Celcius , as it constantly mixes with the normal seawater.
The ship remains here about 30 minutes and you have the opportunity for swimming. It's quite a time since there is no beach but you should climb down the stairs of the boat.You have to swim about 30 meters until the interior of the small bay of the Hot Springs.

Tourist trap
It all looks great but doesn't offer much. 30 minutes you get to jump off the boat, swim 20 meters to a spot where the water is brown and a little warmer. And quickly back to pick up the next load.

Recommended tour
Recommended tour.
The price is fair for santorini.
The boat and staff were on time.
The tour of the volcano is short and one has to climb fast (not recommended for people who are not fit).
The guide was friendly but not enough pertinent information was given during the tour.
The hot springs are nothing to write home about.
If you depart from the old port, going back up is a pain because of the hundreds of people wanting to take the cable car. This is a consideration for the starting point.
I would recommend the tour because it's a nice and compact experience, even though it's not the most informative one.

Good afternoon
Very nice outing, a walk on the volcano quite impressive even if difficult to walk and a very pleasant swimming stop in the hot springs, a slightly longer stop would have been appreciated

Very good experience, enough time to explore the volcano trails and to swim in the hot springs.

A Pleasant Boat Ride
It was pleasant being on the water and getting a sea view of the beautiful Santorini Coast. The ship was comfortable and had plenty of shade. Based on the previous reviews we did not go in the water at the hot springs nor did we walk to the volcano.

A unique and enjoyable experience at a reasonable price
A lovely day overall! Just to give a heads up on a couple of things though-the boat leaves from Fira OLD PORT. This means u can only get there by cable car (there may be a line), donkeys or the pathway that is 900 steps going down. Also bring shoes appropriate for hiking the trail at the volcano ex sneakers-there is loose rocks and it can be slippery.
We had a wonderful time though-a unique experience!

Reservation for a French-speaking guide, which is not the case.
Reservation for an excursion with a French-speaking guide. The guide only spoke English and was quite indifferent.

Unfortunately, on that specific day, our French-speaking guide was ill with pneumonia. Nice, but extremely crowded.
Overall, a very nice tour that is worth it; the staff is super nice and friendly.
However, the advertisement states a maximum of. 50 people, and there were 130 on board. I generally find that unacceptable and it feels like a scam.
