Important Cruise Info Meeting Point: For cruise passengers, the default pickup is the Old Port — where your ship's tender drops you off. A crew member meets you onshore with a sign showing your name, so there's no navigating the cable car alone or hunting for your driver. Getting Up to Fira: The Old Port has no road access, so you reach Fira by water taxi or cable car. We can arrange a private water transfer for an additional €40 — fast, scenic, and no queue. Prefer not to? Take the cable car for €10 per person. Either way, we coordinate the timing around your tour (the shared water taxi runs about once an hour). Running Late? No stress — message us and we'll adjust your pickup. We stay in contact throughout your visit. First Time in Santorini? We've guided thousands of cruise passengers smoothly from ship to sightseeing. - Pickup is at the Old Port (your ship's tender port), where a crew member meets you with a name sign. To reach the top, choose either a water taxi (€40 pp, fast and scenic, no queue) or the cable car (€10 pp).
- Delays due to cruise tendering or cable car lines are common — we are flexible and will adjust your tour start time accordingly, as long as you stay in touch.
- Hotel guests: Pickup is available from all hotels and Airbnbs on Santorini. If your location is not directly accessible by vehicle, we will arrange a nearby pickup point within short walking distance.
- Airport/Ferry arrivals: Pickup is from the arrivals terminal. Please provide flight or ferry details during booking.

What an amazing experience! My husband and I take cruises often and I prefer to book local tours on our own rather than through the ship. VIP Santorini Transfers and Tours is one of the best companies I have had the pleasure of working with. From the time I booked the tour through the day we arrived in Santorini, Katerina was unbelievably responsive and so helpful in making sure all of our requests and questions were answered and she help us plan the perfect day. The day of our tour we were met right at the port and then taken to meet Nick our guide for the day. We set up a private tour for the two of us and as Nick drove us around, we had great conversation, learned a lot about the island and about Greece. He knew all the best spots for photos (and was our photographer), we were able to customize our day as we went along. We started in Oia and worked our way down the island. We were able to decide how much time to spend at different stops. It was like having a local friend showing you around. We wanted to fit in lunch so he brought us to a great little lunch spot for a quick bite. I was able to stop in stores and shop along the way. We even decided to go wine tasting at the last minute and fit that in too. One day in Santorini isn’t enough time but Nick helped us make the most of the time we had, and we will definitely plan another tour with VIP Santorini Transfers and Tours on our next visit.

Amazing tour of unseen and off the tourist track parts of Santorini with Paulina!! We were headed to the airport but had 6 hours after our check out from the hotel, so we had asked for a general tour and had an incredible time! So worth it!! Paulina made sure we had plenty of photo ops and she took beautiful pics of our family at each stop. Very informative and beautiful tour! We booked with Santorini Private Tours. They set everything up for us including two water taxis to save lots of time and to avoid the donkeys and gondolas. Paulina was our tour guide for the eight hours tour. She was very knowledgeable and tailored the trip so that three generations (elderly, Middle Ages and teens / 20 year olds) could have a great tour.

Mary was a FABULOUS tour guide. She is knowledgeable and personable and our 5 hour tour allowed us to find all of the best photo spots on the island. And Mary acts as photographer too! Last stop was at a local restaurant down by the black beach and it was a great ending to our day.

Our guide, Nikolas, made the entire day feel like we were spending time with a friend rather than being on a tour. His personality, energy, and genuine passion for Santorini made the experience unforgettable. We had great conversations throughout the day and learned so much about everyday life in Greece, both on Santorini and beyond. Nikolas went above and beyond in every way. If you're visiting Santorini on a cruise, this is absolutely the best way to see the island without wasting half your day waiting for the cable car. The cable car is the primary way for cruise passengers to reach the town, and with thousands of people arriving from multiple ships, the lines can be incredibly long. Instead, this tour uses a water shuttle, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the day. The scenic 20-minute boat ride offers spectacular views of Santorini's dramatic cliffs before arriving on the opposite side of the island. Your guide meets you there, allowing you to begin exploring immediately while avoiding the crowds that are still waiting for the cable car. We were able to experience some of Santorini's most beautiful locations before they became busy, which made a huge difference.

Where do I begin?! We had the most wonderful time VIP Transfers and Tours. We chose to visit a few wineries and opted to do it this way so that we could choose where we wanted to go and have it just be us. What we did not expect was how absolutely wonderful our driver, Mary (Maria), would be. She really made our whole day. She knew everything there is to know about the island and turned what we thought would just be a private transport from winery to winery into a full tour. She was funny, engaging and incredibly knowledgeable.
