San Diego Electric Bike Rentals

Raul was very helpful making suggestions on how to plan a six-hour bike ride. The Ebike is sturdy, zips arond on the streets fast. Off-road great brakes, easy to manuever, excellent battery life. Rode one mile to the Santa Fe Depot Trolley station. EIght dollars for a pronto card and all day pass. Took the blue line northbound to exit twenty minutes later at the Balboa station. Rode to Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. Turn around and swung by Mission Bay and headed for Moraga off of Balboa Ave. Enter West Clairemont and North Clairemont back streets and also Clairemont Mesa blvd. I did not traverse Clairemont Dr., but there is a two mile stretch between Balboa and Clairemont Mesa blvd that had a car lane converted exclusively into a bike lane. Went through Kesrney Mesa and at MYF Airport had lunch at the Casa Machado. In Linda Vista went down the intimidating Ulric st. and flew back up the hill on level 5 battery assist. For the first two hours mostly used level one assist. The last four hours started using 3 and 4 a lot. Off of Genessee I entered Tecolote Canyon. Southbound to Balboa there are approximately four times you walk the bike across a trickling creek with rocks. A minor inconvenience. At Balboa used the fantastic Bike lane to zoom up the hill and at the top cross Balboa to re-enter Tecolote canyon. Rode south through the canyon to Mt. Abernathy and took that to the Clairemont dr. Trolley. Blue line South to Santa Fe depot. Still had 20 percent left on the battery after 35 miles. San Diego has quite a few bike lanes, making bike travel on the streets safer. Back in the day I rode Schwinn Stingray and 10 speed Nishiki bikes all over San Diego. This was the best day of bike riding ever.

Renting was easy and affordable. Our e-bikes were super powerful when needed, we zipped up some very large hills no problem as we rode from the Convention center, thru the Embarcadero, then little Italy, then thru Balboa Park, and back down to the Gaslamp.

This was by far one of the most memorable experiences me and my family have had during our trip to San Diego! The shop has tons of bikes including e-bikes, road bikes, and other options! If you ever take a trip to downtown San Diego this is definitely a must do!

I reserved and paid for an eBike rental for a weekend ride in May while I was in town for a conference. My plans changed at the last minute, and I needed to cancel the reservation. Their communication was excellent, cancelling the reservation was easy, and they processed my refund fast. I appreciate the ease in doing business with them.
