In Salzburg you join to the only and only Original Sound of Music Tour starting at 02:00 pm Relive your favorite scenes from the classic musical "The Sound of Music" See filming sites around the city and get more historical background information during your photo stops at Leopoldskron as well at the Original Sixteen Going on Seventeen Gazebo … before heading out to the beautiful Salzkammergut once again. This time the tour takes on a different most scenic route to Mondsee. In the picturesque little town visit the von Trapp Wedding Chapel. Don't miss out on the apple strudel before returning to Salzburg listening to the soundtrack.

Spend 2.5 hours in Hallstatt, stroll around have a coffee break, visit the museums, take a short freey ride or just enjoy breath-taking views of the lake and the surrounding mountains .. your stay in Hallstatt 2 hours 30 minutes
Taking a different scenic 1.5 hours route back you will see more of breathtaking Salzkammergut passing by Gosau Russbach and Abtenau before arriving in Salzburg at 01:45 pm - just in time for your Orginal Sound of Music Tour
Start your Original Sound of Music Tour passing by the beautiful historic town of Salzburg listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site
Enjoy the breathtaking view during a photo stop at Lake Leopoldskron mirroring the palace Schloss Leopoldskron, where the famous boating scene was filmed.
The next photo stop will be the historic gardens of Schloss Hellbrunn. Visit the "16 going on 17" Gazebo used in the movie for the kissing scene of Lisl von Trapp and her sweethart Rolf.
After the city part you will now make your way to the lake district passing Lake Fuschl heading towards Lake Wolfgang, where panorama shots were filmed. During a brief photo stop above the town of St Gilgen enjoy the view of Lake Wolfgang and breathing taking Alpine Mountain Range
The scenic route continues to Mondsee, where you enjoy 1 hour at leisure. In the picturesque litlle town you will have the chance to visit the famous Basilika St. Michael, where the wedding of Maria and Baron von Trapp was filmed. also time for a quick coffe break or to grab a snack while exploring the town on your own.

This is an amazing trip and worth every penny. The first part of the tour was going to Hallstatt, where we had a few hours to look around and have something to eat. It is hard to find the words just how beautiful Hallstatt is, it is a must to visit. Johannas our guide, was so Informative. We arrived back to our pick up point to change our coach and started the sound of music tour. This was the 2nd part and as you can imagine very lively, Simon our guide was very funny, knowledgeable and got us singing some songs. The Afternoon was really wonderful seeing some of the film locations and the stories behind them. Doing both tours is a long day but it was really worth it. We came away feeling like we had learnt and seen so much throughout the day.

The experience itself was good, the bus is nice and the itinerary to Hallstatt was great. Our tour guide, SUSI (Susie) was HORRIBLE ABD RUDE. She was deliberately picking on folks who were asking questions and ridiculing them! I was not targeted by her but I watched the disgusting behavior on others!!! This is just outrageous and unimaginable in a customer-centric industry. Driver was great, everything else was fine. Thanks.

The Hallstatt trip was amazing and an experience one should not miss! Truly wonderful. The sound of music tour was very disappointing. DO NOT DO IT. You can’t get close to the Von Trapp house or the abbey. Not even a picture can you take because they just pass by them from very far. You make 2 stops but you have NO TIME to do anything at the second stop which is the church where they get married. They park the bus so far that you have to walk at least 10 minutes to get to the church and then you are left with no time to do much at all. We looked at the church for less than 5 minutes and we were rushing to the bus hoping we don’t miss it because we wanted to get one ice cream cone. Could’nt see the gift shop or pose for a professional photo (as recommended) or see the lake up close or eat a strudel (as recommended). We had to wait in line to get ice cream and barely made the bus. All people with us were in the exact same situation. This sound of music tour is misleading and so disappointing and not well timed at all. I am thinking to ask for a refund since we didn’t even get to see the house. My kids and I were beyond disappointed. It is truly 100% false advertising to lure you to buy a ticket and calling it a “Sound of music” tour. Nothing you see is up close except for the Gazebo, the church and the Mirabell gardens, which ANYONE can see without a tour.

The travellers should know about the possibilities to experience Hallstadt and the Sound of music tour because it is the place where european history was settled and besides there are a lot of opportunities for tourism and to relax.

I thought this was one tour in one swoop but it was two and both were worth it. Our guide for both Hallstadt and Sound of Music were top notch and funny. The journey there was worth the price alone as you see the most beautiful parts of Austria. When you get to Hallstadt, the ferry says its RT but they pick you up at one part and drop you off at another (so you can shop) so don't time it so close that you miss the bus. Also, avoid the ATM by the fruit stand (ate my card) but the fruitstand people found me on Facebook after my card spit out and I got it back. Support them for sure - right across the street from bus drop off. Oh and ferry ride was lackluster, check out the town instead and buy some salt. Sound of Music Tour was so educational and the group was more fun as we experienced a sing a long on the way home that had you thinking, why don't I see along at home? It takes you to so many of the spots in the film though all quick stopovers. Truly recommend this beautiful country and this tour.

Hallstatt is beautiful and Sound of Music tour is must for any fan. The guides were great and told stories on rides to Hallstatt and between Sound of Music sites. Highly recommend.

This tour was divided into two separate tours. Both were wonderful, but as a sound of Music fanatic, I loved the enthusiasm of our tour guide and her ability to bring the movie to life. Hallstadt was very beautiful too and our guide was very informative and friendly

The Sound of Music tour, especially with Jose, was fun, moving and worth the price. Hallstatt was a beautiful little village but the combined price for the 2 tours was too high. Next time, we would only do the Sound of Music tour.
