We booked this specific tour & two others with White Alligator company. They were on time for pick up, followed planned itinerary. Driver, Roman was very funny, polite, & respectful. Tour guide, Igor was very well organized & knowledgeable regarding the history of Salzburg, some details regarding a movie "Sound of Music", Mozart, & etc. He was excellent. We are happy to give our highest recommendation to this company.
Our tour guide was very friendly and informative. We saw a fairly good amount of the Salzburg area and sound of music film locations. It was a great time!
Too much time stuffed in a minivan with people I didn't know. Not nearly enough free time at the destination. The guide Nassir was terrible, and the tour was terrible.

It was a wonderful day trip. Picking up and dropping off from my hotel made me very relaxed. The trip was well organized. The driver/guide Balazs is very pleasant, knowledgeable and informative. He told stories and history related to what we saw along the way. He made multiple stops in the lake region and let us enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The local guide is professional too. I would recommend this tour.
Peter was an excellent tour guide. He spoke very clearly and shared many interesting facts on our tour. His driving was also excellent! We really enjoyed our day with him.
Excellent day with Peter, our driver, who was a great driver and tour guide through out the trip. He was friendly, engaging and kept our day on time. Highly recommend this trip to see sights from the filming of The Sound of Music. Saw gorgeous views of Austria en route to Salzburg. Our guide in Salzburg was very informative and engaging as well but it was hard to hear her at times with the noise of crowds and construction.
Long day because of the 3 hour drive each way, but we stopped places to see them and also use restrooms. The towns we visited were beautiful. Lakes were worth visiting. Peter our guide and driver did a great job explaining the history and giving information about these places. Salzburg was worth seeing. We had a local guide there who showed us old town. The guides were all patient. The group was only 4 people. The van was very comfortable.
It was a three hour drive to get there. We liked the stops in the small towns and lakes along the way. Once in Salzburg - our guide Thomas was rather dry and unimaginative. Could use many more stories. We enjoyed the free time exploring the cemetery and St. Peter’s church/catacombs - best part of Salzburg. We are sound of music fans and found all the spots from the movie, but did this on our own (not part of the tour). With limited time in Vienna (we had 2.5 days) - would not recommend. If you have longer - then go. Salzburg has more of a city feel that I expected. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and enjoy the countryside - then choose Hallstadt or something similar.
It’s a long day and an uncomfortable ride. Marcos the guide was lovely. The guide in Salzburg not so much. It would have been better touring on our own. Salzburg was just ok. The small little side stops were so much better.

Driver and tour guide both spoke very good English answered many questions and were very passionate about their country. The driver was very safe!
