Must-do if you’re in Peru

The 5 day Salkantay trek was made INCREDIBLE all because of Rodrigo (Mountain king) and his team. The experience was such a unique one, gifting us outstanding views, challenging treks, and great vibes throughout. The food provided by chef Lorenzo was near-Michelin level and we were always impressed/surprised by the diversity of the food. Our horsemen and the sous-chef we’re so kind and great to have supporting us. A real congratulations to Rodrigo for being the best guide we’ve had in all of South America; full of jokes, information, and tips and tricks for hiking. Overall, Salkantay was a great trek, one that everyone should do-but it was truely made special by Machu Picchu Jungle Trek. Thank you! Book with Rodrigo!!!!

Amazing trip

Had such a great tour with Rodrigo as our guide he was very knowledgeable and helpful for the 5 days and also a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this trek to see incredible landscapes, learn about the culture and natural environment and to have lots of fun along the way. Including a great coffee tour, visiting the hot springs and having a fun night out with the group. Also the food was amazing throughout the trip thanks to our wonderful chef Lorenzo. Thank you Rodri (mountain king)

An amazing experience doing the Salkantay trek.

We had a great 5 day hike largely with our guide Edy. The hike was very well communicated by the head office and by the guide. My partner is vegetarian and I have a nut allergy which was well understood and there were no issues. The most remarkable part was the ceremony to Pachemama on the Salkantay Pass, where we all made a wish to Pachemama. Edy shared stories about his family gaining faith in Pachemama after a near tragedy with his brother. I loved the man’s smile, sense of humour and his ability to communicate with all of us in his 3rd language! Thanks Edy! Thanks for the experience of a lifetime!

Salkantay trek

The experience has been great. Salkantay trek 5d/4n, with the Paltitas Family!! We will recommend it 100%. Bryan, the guide, was a 10. Without him everything would have been different, we are very grateful to him for everything, he has been a blessing. Climaco's food has been a wonder, always a motivation to arrive for lunch or dinner to eat his food. Amilcar, the muleteer, his support was also very important, his coca tea every morning upon waking up was unforgettable. The truth is that the 3 of them have formed an incredible team that we have always been able to trust. Always with Bryan at the head, who has led the whole group with great professionalism and has left us all with an unforgettable experience. Go Paltitas Family!!!

Great tour operator & amazing guide Eddy!

Our experience with Machu Picchu Jungle has been amazing. Our guide Eddy was really nice and had a lot of experience. The food was amazing (way better than expected) and every meal was huge. Accomodations were basic, but fine as well and fit perfectly within the trekking-experience. Would highly recommend Machu Picchu Jungle!

Great tour, communication could be better

I did the Salkantay Trek (5 days / 4 nights) and overall it was a great experience. My guide Fernández was friendly and I had a lot of fun. Our cook also cooked excellently every day. Unfortunately, the company's communication was not particularly good. After the transfer, I had to ask myself if the money had arrived. In addition, I was first given the wrong time for the briefing the day before, so I had to come again later. Some additional costs were also not clearly communicated in advance. On the third day, the transport to the camp had to be paid for separately; furthermore, crossing a bridge cost another 3 Soles. At the last lunch and dinner in the restaurant, drinks were not included; at least water I would have expected.
