In this hands-on sake experience in the heart of Kyoto, you'll taste and compare sakes from breweries across Japan, then design your own original bottle to take home — guided by English-speaking staff, no knowledge needed. It's one of Kyoto's most unique things to do: fully indoor and perfect for a rainy day, just minutes from Kiyomizudera and Nishiki Market.

Amazing experience! Not only is it a tasting but you get to mix your own sake for your own bottle to take home (included in the price). She tells you about the history of it and is very knowledgable. Beautiful store and so happy we did it!

I was able to sample eight types of sake and learned that sake has a wide variety of flavors. It was also fun to choose 2 to 4 types from the samples and create an original blend.

Excellent little workshop. I learned loads about sake, and about tastings. My amazing guide through the experience was really knowledgeable and interesting, and the blending of my own mix was a highlight! Definitely recommend!

They will explain about sake for 10 minutes at the beginning. After that, you can enjoy sake while having them explain each and every sake carefully.
