Our time exploring Saint-Tropez and the Corniche d’Or, also known as the Golden Corniche or Golden Coast, with Alex Guyatt was truly unforgettable and easily one of the highlights of our time in the South of France. The drive along the Golden Corniche was absolutely spectacular. The contrast of the dramatic red Esterel cliffs against the brilliant blue Mediterranean is something pictures simply cannot capture. Alex knew exactly where to take us for the most breathtaking views and scenic stops along the coast. It felt like we were experiencing a side of the French Riviera that we never would have discovered quite the same way on our own. One of our favorite parts of the day was stopping along the coast for a swim. Taking a break from sightseeing to swim in the Mediterranean, enjoy drinks, take in the scenery, and simply appreciate where we were made the experience feel incredibly special. It was relaxed, spontaneous, and exactly the kind of moment you hope to have when traveling through the South of France. Our visit to Saint-Tropez was equally memorable. Alex helped us navigate the area efficiently so we could spend our time actually experiencing it rather than worrying about traffic, parking, or logistics. We were able to enjoy the harbor, streets, shops, restaurants, and atmosphere of Saint-Tropez while still having plenty of time to explore the beautiful coastline surrounding it. Alex recommended a great boat tour to see the sites from the coast. As we prepared to leave, we boarded a boat taxi leaving Saint-Tropez so we could experience the views vs. sit in traffic. When we disembarked, Alex was waiting for us with cold water bottles and a cool van! What we appreciated most about traveling with Alex was that the day never felt like a rigid tour. He knew where to go, where to stop, which views were worth seeing, and when it was better to simply slow down and enjoy the moment. The entire experience felt like a day exploring the Riviera with a local friend who wanted to make sure we saw the very best of it. There is also an optional 1 hour boat trip (10€ pp) which we recommend and allows you to see St-Tropez how it should be seen - from the sea !
