We'll begin this VIP Sacred Valley + Maras and Moray tour departing from Cusco to tour the Chinchero Archaeological Center. This site covers up to 43 hectares (110 acres) where you can find terraces, paths, water channels, and temples. You'll then head to the Moray archaeological complex, located 7 km (4.3 mi) from Maras in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It's characterized by its circular terraces. You'll then head to Maras for a guided tour. You'll have time for lunch at a restaurant in Urubamba, and then a guided tour of the Ollantaytambo archaeological complex, a massive Inca fortress with large stone terraces on a hillside, where you can find the Temple of the Sun and the fountain of the Princesses' Baths. Finally, you'll visit Písac, one of the most important and visited archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After this great tour, you will return to Cusco, thus concluding the activity.

There were several stops, so good timing was important. Our guide did a good job keeping everything organized without making us feel rushed. We knew when we had to return to the vehicle, but we still had enough time for pictures. The day flowed much better than I expected.
After spending time around the city, getting out into the Sacred Valley felt refreshing. The air seemed cleaner, the roads were quieter and the mountains were everywhere. Maras and Moray added some history, while the Urubamba lunch gave us time to slow down.
Moray was the place that really stayed in my memory because of its enormous circular design and the surrounding mountains. Maras was equally photogenic, especially with the different shades of the salt pools. Lunch in Urubamba was delicious and offered a nice selection of Peruvian dishes.
