Cruise from Perth to Rottnest Island along the Swan River. During your 1 hour 30 minute transfer, listen to informative Captain's commentary and relax whilst enjoy the scenic views.
Arrive on the island and have free time until your tour commences.
Meet your guide here to commence your Grand Island Tour. Board the heritage train for a ride to Oliver Hill and a guided tour at Oliver Hill WWII Guns & Tunnel, followed by a light sandwich lunch.
Guided bus tour of the island commences from Oliver Hill. Your driver will also act as tour guide and point out attractions as you tour the island.
Meet your return ferry to commence your back to Perth. Departing Rottnest Island at 4:30pm, disembark Perth approximately 6pm.

Good tour, rough seas getting there from Perth. Nice light lunch served. Very windy, so glad I had our tour bus instead of using the public transport system. Our guide had great information

Great experience. The tour guide for the tunnels was awesome and learned a lot about the Australians in WWIi. Then a tour of Rottnest Island was another great experience and much knowledge gained the island was beautiful and the views awesome. Great tour and would recommend the tour.

Check in at Barrack jetty ticket booth was easy. However, when arrived at Rottnest Island there was no greeter and no instructions where to go. Had to ask information desk and went to train depot station and found no organizer. Walked to another information desk and was directed to bus stop and from there was directed back to train depot. This time, there’s someone with a clip board to check us in. Trip from there went well starting train ride to the Olliver hill and had a guided tour. Then, we boarded a private bus with driver/guide to take us around the island with stops. There were only about 12 of us total. It’s definitely a luxury to have a private bus instead of waiting at bus stops in the sun. Despite the disorganization in the beginning, I still prefer this Grand island tour over self guided bus tour.

This was a complete waste of time. The description advertised a "bus tour of the island with stops at key locations," but that was simply not the case. The bus stopped at just one location for 20 minutes, and that was it. We weren't even given time to visit the lighthouse, as we were told there wasn't enough time. The tour felt more like a two-hour bus ride with history lessons than a sightseeing experience. There was also no restroom or WiFi on board, as they advertised. Instead of simply pointing out the island's numerous bays from the bus, it would have been far more worthwhile to stop at at least one of them. Extremely disappointing and not at all what expected. .

We had to call to make sure that we were collected from our hotel, unfortunately we were not offered a ride home from the port. Not a big deal, but we prepared to get a taxi or Uber back to the hotel. The trip over to Rottnest on the boat was rough, multiple people vomiting, be prepared and take travel sickness meds before travel. Lots of Quokka's in the village when you arrive, great to see these very friendly marsupial's up close. The tour to the tunnels and the big gun was interesting and if you are a history buff you will enjoy it. The bus tour around the island was pleasant, although the bus driver although lovely was hard to hear in the middle of the bus and so that made it a little less enjoyable. The Boat ride back to Perth was a lot calmer than the outward bound trip. All in all, I would recommend taking this tour, just be sure to take the sea sickness tablets 30 mins before ;)

Enjoyable day on the island, the guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the oliver guns and tunnel tour was very interesting
Collected from our hitel and very relaxing cruise down the Swan river. Enjoyed the boat then a train and a bus. Excellent tour of the gun tunnels with a very entertaining guide and then the bus took us all over the island with another very knowledgeable guide. Photographed some very cute quokkas and then had time for a cocktail at the pub and some shopping before catching the ferry back to Perth. Had no idea of all the history associated with Rottnest!

The tour was absolutely amazing. The guide for the Gun and tunnels tours was very informative. Specially our bus guide Leah was absolutely amazing and made the tour very interesting and entertaining.
