I had an absolutely fantastic time on the Trastevere food tour with Vanessa from WalkingGourmet! We got to try an amazing variety of local foods, including supplì, porchetta, Trapizzino, Roman-style pizza, gelato, and coffee. Everything was delicious, but the standout for me was definitely the Trapizzino with Bollito alla Picchiapò filling. Vanessa was a wonderful guide throughout the entire experience. She was friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. Communication before the tour was excellent, and during the tour she shared interesting information about the food, the neighborhood, and Roman culture. She also gave us lots of helpful recommendations and advice for the rest of our stay in Rome. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome, especially if you love food and want a fun, authentic experience. Thank you Vanessa for such a memorable evening!
This was the best thing we did in Rome this trip! Syllia was incredibly fun and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Silvia was an awesome guide. It felt like a member of our family showed us around a Trastevere. We sampled prosciutto and cheese, Supli, trapizzino and gelato. The food was great but having a guide like Silvia made the tour. It was a private tour with 6 family members but Silvia felt like number 7. I highly recommend!
This was a fun food tour where we got to sample a variety of different foods in a local region of Rome. We were able to get into places that already had a waiting list. We hit all the highlights of appetizers, main meal, and deserts without feeling rushed. We highly recommend Viator for this tour and our guide was wonderful. Jim & Jean
We took Orso on a culinary tour of Rome’s authentic Trastevere district – and it was the absolute highlight of our trip! Orso did an absolutely perfect job: With incredible passion and expertise, he let us know the secrets of Roman cuisine. From hidden trattorias with homemade pasta recipes to aromatic street food highlights and the best local wines, he knows every corner and shares insider tips for the next trip to Rome that we want to try right away. The pizza tasting in a traditional pizzeria was particularly grandiose: Thin, crispy, with fresh ingredients straight from the region – a dream! Orso not only explained the ingredients and baking techniques, but also created a great group atmosphere with funny anecdotes about Roman food culture. On top of that there were more delicious samples that made us wonder. 5 stars without ifs and buts – Orso is the best! Every visitor to Rome should book this tour. Thank you for this highlight day
This was a great way to spend our first evening in Rome. Our guide, Orso, was extremely knowledgeable about everything not just the food. Everything was well organized and the food was excellent. A good cross section of every day foods.
What a fabulous experience this traverse walking tour was. Silvia our guide was a friendly, fun person who walked us around the area, and took us to lots of amazing places to eat. We had suppli, trapezzanni, meat, cheese, fruit and beautiful cake. We were with a lovely group of people which made the day extra special.
The food was amazing. Silvia es very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, not just about food, but also about the history. It felt like walking with a friend!
This is a wonderful tour to book if you want to get to know this rich and interesting area in Rome. And if you luck out and get Vanessa as your guide, you will have a terrific experience. It’s not all about the food (but that, of course, is the star of the tour) it’s about getting to know the history and the culture of the region . And Vanessa is an expert who will enhance your experience with a lot of interesting information.
They provide large portions of food! The area is beautiful. Vincent was very nice and gave some history with the tour.
