Rome : Pasta and Tiramisu Class in a Roman Home in Trastevere

Description
Step into a real Roman kitchen and prepare traditional Italian dishes with your own hands, guided by Ilaria in a warm and welcoming home. Along the way, you’ll discover the small family tricks behind each recipe — the gestures, timing, and instincts that rarely make it into cookbooks. This is not a cooking class in the traditional sense. It’s an authentic experience in a real Roman home in Trastevere, where you cook together, share stories, drink wine, and sit around the table just like locals do. No professional kitchen — just a family home, real food, and genuine connection. If you truly want to understand what Italian cooking feels like, there’s no better place than a family kitchen. Born and raised in Rome, Ilaria comes from three generations of chefs and loves sharing not only recipes, but also the memories, traditions, and everyday rituals behind them.

It was the highlight of our trip to Rome! Thank you.
Ilaria and her family were an absolute joy to meet and share this especially memorable experience with! The food was delicious and we will be teaching our family back home how to make pasta now!
Ilaria and her family were such a delight to meet and enjoy this experience with. It was our favorite dinner experience in all of Italy. The food we made was delicious. The recipes were simple to follow and her instructions are very helpful. We took the recipes home and will be making them for our family!
Aria and her husband are amazing hosts! Their house is beautiful, with a warm and colorful personality. Her instructions were clear, her dishes are tasteful and the conversation was great! A highly recommended experience if you would like to try amazing food and meet great Italians!
This was so fun!!! Illaria is a warm, welcoming and expert cook. It was fun to be in her kitchen, and the location of her home in Trastevere is unique and special. I would do this again with friends, clients and my kids! It’s a great experience
This was the first experience I booked when planning our 25th anniversary trip to Italy, and I am so happy I did. Ilaria and Samuel are gracious hosts. It was nice to spend time in an Italian home, not just a hotel or B&B. This small group experience was cozy and authentic. Ilaria is a wonderful chef and teacher, and the food was amazing. Our adult children are coming over tonight to make pasta. Using Ilaria's family recipes and techniques, it promises to be a wonderful time together as a family. This experience is a little more expensive than some of the others, and worth every penny!
If you are looking for a cooking class in Italy, this is it! We looked at classes in various cities, but most felt commercialized and weren’t exactly the “vibe” we were hoping for. After much research, we landed on this one and It didn’t disappoint. This class was the highlight of our trip! Ilaria and her husband so graciously opened their home to us. We were warmly welcomed along with another couple from Australia and all quickly became friends. The class was so much fun as we learned how to make 3 types of pasta and sauce, which we all devoured at the end! Couldn’t recommend this class enough!
Wow what a great experience. It was a class of 2 couples which made it really easy to connect with each other. Just loved how we were welcomed into their home and mafe to feel very welcome. It was an authentic experience which i would recommend to anyone wamting to learn a little about Italian cruisine.
What an absolute delight! Aria made it seem doable and worth the effort to make your own pasta. The dishes were delicious. The whole event was superb. Aria and her family welcomed us into their home (with a most amazing kitchen and garden) and were part of the magic of the evening I love to get a glimpse into the lives of people living where I travel and this was the highest achievement of that goal. Go hungry!!
My husband and I did this cooking class on our honeymoon and it was the most fun/unique experience we did during our time in Rome! Aria is so sweet and so good at what she does! The pasta and tiramisu turned out phenomenal! I couldn’t recommend this experience more!
