Claudia was wonderful. We had some other guests in our group that weren’t very friendly to her at the start and ended up leaving our group due to misunderstanding with booking, but she handled it well and kept a very positive attitude through the tour. Loved her.
Our guide Allessandro was excellent! His knowledge about the history of the Forum and the Collesseum was amazing. I also enjoy the video and pictures he shared along the way. There is A LOT of walking on this your and some of it was hilly. Be prepared. There are a few fountain stops.to refill water bottles. The check-in process was also so easy! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
No bueno. They Cancelled my tour at the last minute. No follow up response from the tour company. If it wasn't for the concierge at our hotel our vacation would have been ruined. Come all the way to Rome and thanks to Empire tours last minute cancellation would have screwed up my other tours scheduled as they tried to reschedule an abreviated tour at a later time of the day. Be careful when you're booking not to use this company. Terrible customer service
Dear Guest, We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, last-minute cancellations can sometimes be caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as ticketing issues, changes communicated by museums, or unexpected logistical restrictions. Nevertheless, we understand how disruptive this must have been and regret that our follow-up did not meet your expectations. Our team always does everything possible to find a suitable alternative and minimize the impact on our guests’ plans. Thank you for sharing your feedback. Kindest regards, Towns of Italy Team
Damiano, was our tour guide and we were with about 11 other people. He was absolutely amazing and so fun and knowledgeable. I would do that tour again is we could be assured the same guide.
I had such an excellent experience with my guide, Ruggero! He was incredibly fun, friendly, knowledgeable, and informative, making the entire journey enjoyable from beginning to end. His enthusiasm and great personality truly made the experience special. A big thank you as well to Towns of Italy for providing such a wonderful experience, along with excellent communication and customer service throughout. Everything was well organized and made the journey feel effortless and enjoyable. I truly appreciate this wonderful experience and would highly recommend Ruggero and Towns of Italy to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable tour.
The guide, Rafaela, is very knowledgeable, kind. She takes the Time to explain and detail everything.
Very knowledgeable, kind and friendly guide
We did a small group guided tour of the Roman Forum, Palantine Hill, and the Colosseum with Alessandro. Our family of 3 and just one other couple. The Towns of Italy office, where we met, was absolutely the nicest meeting spot of all the tours we did on our trip (and we did a lot!). AC, Water, Friendly Staff, Lounge Area, and well organized. Our guide Alessandro was AMAZING. He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and funny. He showed us photos and videos of interesting things as well as the sites on our tour. The tour itself was very hot in July and lots of walking and stairs, FYI. Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat for sure. Comfortable walking shoes. No sites required modest dress code (like others with churches, Vatican, etc).
Tours can be can be cancelled on you last minute with no substitute horrible experience ruined our trip to Rome.

Unfortunately, cancellations may occasionally occur due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience caused, and we remain at your disposal should you wish to discuss the matter further.
