Rome: Between Life and Death Capuchin Museum and Crypt

Description
Hidden just off Rome’s elegant Via Veneto, Between Life and Death offers a self-guided audio journey into one of the city’s most moving and unusual sites. Your experience begins in the Capuchin Museum, where religious art, historical documents, and everyday objects reveal the life and beliefs of the Capuchin Friars Minor—an order devoted to humility, contemplation, and service. The journey continues beneath the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini into the famous Capuchin Crypt. Here, the remains of thousands of friars are arranged in quiet, symbolic designs that speak not of fear, but of memento mori—a reminder of life’s fleeting nature and deeper meaning. With insightful narration and the freedom to explore at your own pace, this experience is ideal for travelers seeking a reflective, unforgettable alternative to traditional sightseeing.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish! I visited this tour back in April, and it remains one of the most memorable experiences from my trip to Rome. The tour was incredibly well organized, and everything ran smoothly. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the entire experience stress-free. It was one of the highlights of my trip!
Great experience. It was perfect.
A very enjoyable visit. The dedicated audio guide was convenient and informative, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.
The guys taking the tickets and checking us in were flat out rude! Their customer service has a lot of work that needs to be done! Normally all tours I booked through Viator had the tickets/bar codes in Viator for us. When I “tried” telling them that they laughed in my face and said no that is not how it is done!!! Like I didn’t know what I was talking about. They would not even listen to me just grabbed my phone to show me they were in my email and treated me less than! I work in IT and I know how things are done. They treated me horrible and I would never use these people again! Others we had booked through Viator were really great!!! It is not Viator it is this group of cocky guys and their company that are rude! I can’t even imagine how they would treat someone who does t use email a lot. They were all laughing about it too, which was uncalled for!
The place is interesting, The audio guide user friendly.
Unlike many places in Rome, this attraction gives you an audio guide device instead of making you download an app. It was easy to use and very informative. The staff were friendly, and the whole experience was great. Highly recommended!
Visited the site with my friend and we had some great time! It’s a unique place in Rome that shows a very different side of the eternal city! The crypts are really interesting.
We enjoyed our time at the museum and it’s catacomb the audio guide was very helpful.
Museum very interesting. Crypt a sight to see!
