Move on with the tour and reach Circus Maximus , the largest stadium in Ancient Rome, built for chariot races. Imagine to be taking part of one of the Circus Maximus chariot races competitions in which participants tried to complete seven laps of the Circus Maximus. The competitors, mounted in small chariots drawn by horses, gambled much more than their prestige or large prizes in the races, since many of them were slaves fighting for their liberty.
The Palatine Hill is one of the Seven Hills of Rome and it is one of the most ancient parts of the city as it stands right above the Roman Forum and upon the Circus Maximus.
Of course once that you will have visited the Circus Maximus, you cannot miss the chance to admire the Campidoglio ( = Capitoline Hill) by night! It is inevitable that you will be charmed by the stunning panoramas of Roman Forum from there.
Passando – You will drive along the Altare della Patria, located in Piazza Venezia! The Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele was inaugurated in 1911 as a tribute to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of Italy after the country's unification.
Your next stop will be the lovely Pantheon located on Piazza della Rotonda! Take some stunning pictures of this charming place illuminated by night lights.

What an amazing and educational night in Rome with our lovely guide Beatrice. We saw all the major tourist spots from the comfort of our Mercedes tour van. We were able to get out and take some beautiful pictures as well. Rone by night is just magical. Beatrice, who is an archeologist(!!) Was kind, so informative and enthusiastic to teach us all about Roman history. Her love of Rome kept us all engaged. She answered any questions we had and made 2 hours fly by! What a great way to see so many of Rome’s most beautiful spots lit up and looking amazing. Peter was an amazing guide and driver. Born and raised in Rome, he has so much knowledge to share and knows his way around the city. He was flexible with the itinerary and offered so many insights. After a very warm day, it was nice to get in the comfortable and air conditioned van for our private tour. This may be our highlight of Rome. Highly recommend! Worth every euro!
