Riga Old Town walking tour

The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I learned so much about the beautiful country of Latvia and the town of Riga

A great tour through all the major sites in Riga’s old town. Diana is very knowledgeable and pleasant. I’d definitely recommend this tour for first timers in Riga.

Kuna was a wonderful guide, she was funny, witty and kept a good pace. Easy to understand and really gave us a great history of Latvia.

It was our first visit to Riga and Guna our guide was amazing and gave us a huge amount of information about the country. She was very eloquent and had a great sense of humour.

Goona was a fabulous guide. She gave great perspectives on the various sites and was able to answer every question with facts and commentary. She was charming and engaging.

We did the tour this week with Guna, she was a really lovely guide, funny and we learnt a lot about the history of Latvia and were taken around the important sites in Riga in the Old Town. It was raining throughout but Guna was good at finding places out of the rain, and it was still a good tour. Took about 1hr45 but went very quickly. I’m still always shocked by people who leave without leaving a tip on a free tour. I wonder how they would feel if they weren’t paid for a couple of hours of doing their job.

We arrived at the Old Town Center well before the scheduled meeting time, exactly as instructed. It was raining, and we stood there waiting-looking for a tour guide in a green t-shirt, just as the activity description stated. It became uncomfortable and embarrassing having to approach every person wearing green to ask if they were our guide. No one ever showed up. We contacted the tour operator after the tour start time and received no response. We paid for an international call to reach Viator customer service, only to be told to keep waiting. After all of that, the only follow-up we received was that the tour operator refused to approve our refund request. We genuinely do not understand how they can keep our money when the service was never provided. This experience was unacceptable, and we will not be booking anything with this tour company again.

Riga is such a charming city. We really enjoyed our walking tour and learning a lot about Riga and its people. Our guide was kind enough to point out things to see and do and where the locals eat so we had plenty of places to explore after as well. This walking tour was a perfect addition to a perfect day in Riga!

It was the best walking tour I have ever been on. The guide was absolutely fantastic, and even with a large group, everyone could always hear him. He covered a lot of territory and provided a great deal of information. I was much more familiar with the history of Latvia and Riga by the end of the tour.
