Røvær Island – A Hidden Gem off Haugesund Just 10 km northwest of Haugesund lies Røvær, a small island community with around 100 residents. This scenic archipelago offers a peaceful glimpse of coastal life, with charming boathouses, a cultural hotel, and friendly locals. Visitors can explore walking trails, learn about Viking and wartime history, and enjoy panoramic sea views from Varden, the island’s highest point, where a WWII pillbox still stands. Please note that weather conditions may occasionally require an alternative route for safety and comfort.
Feøy – A Peaceful Island Escape near Haugesund Just west of Haugesund lies Feøy, a tranquil island group known for its unspoiled nature and strong coastal traditions. With around 50 year-round residents, Feøy offers a glimpse of authentic island life as you pass by on your RIB adventure. From the sea, you’ll spot traditional boathouses, the charming Feøy Brygge – once an old wharf, now a meeting place and restaurant – and open landscapes where sheep graze near the shore. During World War II, German forces occupied the island due to its key role in the Norwegian resistance network. Today, Feøy remains a peaceful community surrounded by sea, history, and natural beauty.

The speedboat safari was a unique experience. This way, you could visit many beautiful spots within a very short time. But the icing on the cake is, of course, the adrenaline kicks during the fast-paced rides. 1h of pure experience and fun!
Absolutely great fun even though weather was awful Guide was ace and very funny and knowledgeable about the area
Fantastic experience with friendly and experienced staff.
Thrilling trip. We were lucky and had a beautiful day. Although very nervous I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt safe. The guide was very informative.
Good fun, very interesting, and excellent guide. I came out feeling I know much more about Norway, saw some lovely island and coastal scenery, and had good fun in the boat.
Very fast and fun! Lots of zooming! Nice to see some of the tiny islands up close (some with only 70 residents). Not much narration, its about the speed/fun and views, not a history tour, that said, boat pilot answered questions and gave a bit of local area info. You get jolted a little bit bumping over waves so take the safwty waver / instructions seriously. staff really nice (good humor), venue close to cruise port (and has a toilet) so venue was easy to get to and much cheaper than booking via cruise operator.
So much fun! All 3 of us would do it again tomorrow!
Scary but fun The sea was a little bit high, so it was really scary We had a great time , recommended to people with back or knees issues
An exhilarating rib ride around Haugesand and out to the remote islands. We jumped off the Iona and headed straight to the Viking adventure store which was a short 5 minute walk from the ship. We were lucky enough to join the next tour at 10:30. Our tour guide was excellent and funny- took us to a couple of the remote islands as well as speeding across the open sea. We felt safe and throughly enjoyed the trip. What I would say is that I expected it to be a little longer. We were getting our suits on and then on another tour within an hour and 45 minutes.
