Red Rock Slot Canyon

This is a strange review to write because the Red Canyon Slot Canyon tour was cancelled due to heavy rain and the potential for flash flooding. I want to praise East Zion Adventures for their professionalism during this challenging weather. We trusted them to keep us safe and indeed they did. They also quickly and easily refunded our money. While we are disappointed that we couldn't go on the tour, we will try to do this again the next time we pass through Oderville, Utah.

John was an amazing guide. He took extra care of us and took us to see Mother Nature at her best after the flash flood. His knowledge was first rate and his personality kept us all entertained. We would all love to do this again if the opportunity presents itself.

Our tour driver was excellent. Talkative and fun. We loved seeing two different slot canyons and the ride was great.

We did the Red Hollow trail ride offered by EZA on their website. We meandered through the hills as our guide, Brent, regaled us with stories. We rode to the top of one of the mountains and had an incredible view of Orderville. Afterward, we walked down to one of the entrances of a slot canyon and got some amazing photos. Their horses were beautiful and well cared for with fun personalities. They chose gentle horses specifically for our kids and they were able to handle them without any issues. They provided a generous brown bag lunch at the end. We would not hesitate to book with East Zion Adventures again.

This was the coolest thing ever! The ride on the UTV alone was worth the $. The views were amazing. The kids (3&5) had so much fun climbing and sliding through the canyons. Our driver Mitchell was the absolute best. Very knowledgeable and super friendly. He took the best photos throughout the tour. Would recommend it for anyone and we’d definitely go back!

My wife and I (74 & 73 respectively) have some knee issues and both were hoping those issues wouldn't prevent us from experiencing the beauty of some slot canyons. We both have trouble going up and down steep hills. Mitchell (our guide ) did a fantastic job of balancing the off road bumps , showing us the beauty of a few sites , educating us about them, while taking into consideration our knee issues. It was a hot day, the ride was bumpy as heck, but nothing we couldn't handle. How the vehicles stay in one piece is a mystery to me. Great tour, great guide and I would highly recommend it to those who may be reluctant.

Fantastic! We showed up a day early and our guide Mark agreed to stay late to fit us in. He was a great guide and educated us on the geology, plants and animals of the desert, and anything else we had a question about. EZ has select access to areas where only a few companies can go, and when we went we were the only people in the slot canyons we toured. It was a truly unique experience and worth every penny. I can’t recommend this company enough.

Our family had an incredible experience on the Red Rock Slot Canyon tour with East Zion Adventures. From the moment we arrived, everything was well organized, safe, and welcoming. Our guides, John and Nick, were absolutely outstanding. John is clearly passionate about what he does, and that passion is contagious. He has an amazing ability to make everyone feel safe, confident, and capable of navigating terrain that initially seems intimidating. He has the patience of a saint, never rushing anyone, always encouraging, and somehow making every person feel like they could do it. As someone who loves photography, I especially appreciated that John completely gets it when you're trying to capture the perfect shot. He never made us feel like we were holding up the group, pointed out beautiful photo opportunities, and even helped make sure we got pictures we'll treasure forever. Nick was fantastic as well, calm, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout the adventure. Together, they made an exceptional team. The canyon itself was breathtaking, but what really made this tour memorable was the people leading it. Our family left with amazing photos, unforgettable memories, and a genuine sense of accomplishment. It ended up being one of the highlights of our Utah trip. I found myself quietly thinking, "Thank you," over and over throughout the experience. Not to anyone or anything in particular, just gratitude for being there, for sharing the adventure with my family, and for having guides who made us feel so safe and capable. Those are the moments that stay with you long after the hike is over. If you're considering a slot canyon tour, don't hesitate. We'd recommend East Zion Adventures without hesitation and would absolutely book with them again.
