You will be greeted at the cruise ship port and shown to a modern, comfortable, and air-conditioned vehicle. Your professional driver will then transfer you through the beautiful Italian countryside. The journey takes roughly 2.5 hours.
From Ravenna we will bring you directly to Piazzale Roma. This is the closest cars are allowed to come and once you walk across the first bridge the charm of this timeless island quickly becomes apparent. Here you will meet your guide. Groups are limited to 10 guests for a more personal experience. Board a private water taxi and cruise along Venice's famous Grand Canal, passing magnificent palaces, churches and historic buildings while learning about the city's unique maritime history from your guide. This scenic journey allows you to reach St. Mark's Square comfortably while avoiding crowded bridges and long walks through busy streets.
During your tour you will see the San Marco Square - the most famous and only "Square of Venice".
Your guide will show you the mosaics adorning the ancient Basilica and its clock tower along with the Campinale (Bell Tower).
Another highlight of our tour will be the famous and extraordinary Doge Palace, which for over 1000 years served as the White House and Pentagon for the region.
See the lively Rialto market where tourists and locals alike go for fresh fish and produce. You will have the opportunity to browse Venetian delicacies, get a snack, drink and go souvenir shopping. From here you can also marvel at the enchanting Rialto Bridge - the first bridge built on the Grand Canal.
You will also have some free time do some shopping and more sightseeing, or walk with our tour guide over to the Rialto bridge and market. Here you will learn about the lives of traders who after a successful day on shore would re-embark on their merchant vessels docked at the port.
No visit to Venice would be complete without experiencing its most famous tradition. Enjoy a relaxing gondola ride through Venice's charming canals, passing historic buildings and hidden corners of the city that cannot be seen from the main streets. Each gondola is shared by a maximum of 5 guests for a more comfortable and intimate experience.
At the end of your tour you will return to the Piazzale Roma where we store your luggage. Our tour guides and hosts can help you take public transportation or arrange a private taxi for you to go to your next destination, whether it will be the airport, train station, or a hotel. We were met at the port by our driver. Once in Venice he had our guide meet us at the drop off point. Adair was extremely knowledgeable and we had a nice tour of Venice. It included a water taxi to the square and gondola ride, then a water taxi back. Adair keep making sure we all were comfortable as it was 95 degrees and very humid. Adair made sure everyone had arrangements for taxi or other means to get to their hotels. Great tour and guide!
This was a great experience and just what we were looking for. It was easy to find our driver near the taxi stand coming off of the cruise ship. We arrived to Venice ahead of schedule and our tour guide, Adair, was there to meet us. We immediately were introduced to water taxis, Grande Canal, basic sites, gondola and even made a couple osteria stops for ciccheti and drinks. Our tour guide was great and gave us the confidence to tackle Venice on our own.
Ride from port was quick and comfortable. Meet promptly in Venice by our tour guide. Tour started immediately and many sites were viewed. She shared her favorite food restaurants and bakery. Gondola ride was nice and we were taken at the booked time. Our guide was easy to understand and very knowledgeable. She was able to get us a water taxi to our hotel. Very helpful.
Sebastian was great! He was very informative! He felt like he was a friend for years giving us the tour. He weaved great history info into different stops that were very interesting! I would definitely recommend and would want him on my next adventure in Venice!

This was, by far, the highlight of our entire holiday! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. Our transfer was waiting for us when we arrived, the van was clean and comfortable, and our driver was friendly, professional, and took care of all of our luggage. Our guide, Georgia, met us upon arrival, and she truly made this experience unforgettable. She was incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about Venice. She took the time to explain the city’s history, answer all of our questions, and made everyone in our group feel welcome. Her enthusiasm and expertise brought Venice to life. The gondola ride and private water taxi were absolute must-do experiences and offered such a beautiful way to see the city. Every part of the tour was seamless and well planned. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Georgia. She was hands down the best tour guide we had during our entire trip to Italy. Flawless cruise port pickup and ride to Venice and tour. Excellent tour guide. She kept everything light and fun. Great restaurant that catered to our time constraint. Gondola ride was enchanting.
Very smooth process, we had Claudia as our Venice tour guide, she was fantastic. It was very hot and she kept us in the shade whenever possible. Knowledgeable as she grew up right there. Loved the small group aspect so everyone could hear and keep up. Only wish the driver from port to Venice spoke English so we could learn more on the 2 1/2hr drive. She was great but we could not communicate with her so the ride was quiet (we napped). Overall pleased with the tour!
