We start with your hotel pickup between 20 - 30 minutes before your tour departure time, depending on your hotel location. We start the journey with the destination of this very visited tourist attraction as it is the mountain of seven colors, in our transport for 2 hours approximately south of the city of Cusco, until we reach Pitumarca, in this place we will have time to enjoy our breakfast in a local restaurant in the area. Afterwards we continue the journey by transport for 1 hour passing through indigenous villages and appreciating beautiful landscapes until we reach Japura. Along the way we will appreciate grazing of Llamas and Alpacas and beautiful views of mountains.
Here begins our adventure on the quad bike. the four-wheel drive is 20 minutes approximately one way to the mountain of colors. The walking time from the end of the quad bikes to the rainbow mountain is 7 minutes approx. To take all the pictures, if you like more pictures you have to walk more 10 minutes to reach the summit to take panoramic pictures, free time 35 minutes approx. Then we will return in the four-wheelers by the same route, to take the transport to Pitumarca, in this place we will have our lunch. Then we return to Cusco. The time of arrival will depend on your tour schedule, culminating 2 blocks from Plaza de Armas Cusco, Calle San Bernardo or Plaza Regocijo.

One of the most interesting tours of Cusco, after Machu Picchu. Besides the adrenaline of climbing the quad bike mountain, the view from the top is surreal. The whole trip is cold with the Guide, he takes very good care of us. And there is a lot of security structure, even with a medical post if necessary. Ten out of ten!

The Rainbow mountain trip was great only overshadowed by the fact that for the entire 8hr mini bus trip the aircon was not working and there were no windows to open, this is the only reason I am not able to give 5 stars.
I booked specifically with an English speaking guide, but didn't get one. We were asked to meet at a point. We were there, and they were at a different spot. While we were walking to them, they were driving to us. We had to walk back to our original spot. They put us in 2 cars, and started speeding through the city because we were now late. We lost our second car, but couldn't communicate with the driver to see what was happening. My sister was in that car, and called to tell me that they stopped the car and made them get out and get into a different car, which was scary. Our car caught up to a tour bus, and we got out on the highway to run up to the bus. The bus took off again before the other car could catch us. We were asking where the other car was and nobody could answer. Eventually they did catch up and join us on the tour bus, but the first part of that trip was terrifying. We met nice people on the bus that translated for us. Riding the ATVs was fun, and Rainbow Mountain was beautiful! The trip is worth it, but maybe make sure you have English speaking guides if you need them.

The trip was amazing from start to finish thanks to this agency that gave us all the support before we even closed the tours. The drive was long but there is no other way around it. Breakfast and lunch are not my favorite but that is just a personal opinion.
