Itinerary
One of the stops to visit will be the Mira Mera viewpoint whose name honors the canton that will welcome you to the Amazon region.
In this place you can sail for 30 minutes along the Puyo River, after this tour you will head to lunch where you will have 4 food options as is : Chicken-meat-fish or vegetables
Our certified guide will explain about the medicinal plants of the Amazon, take a 30-minute walk to the Hola Vida waterfall, where you can swim if you wish, and get in touch with nature.
You will visit an indigenous community where you will participate in their traditional dance, the use of the blowgun, they will paint your face as a temporary tattoo, and you will visit a museum where you can acquire handicrafts if you wish.
At the Indichuris viewpoint you will witness a beautiful sunset surrounded by hammocks, swings, the jungle and the imposing Pastaza River in the background.
Finally, we will visit a local family where they carry out the process of organic chocolate from Ecuador, in this place you can taste small portions of chocolate, if you want to buy chocolate you can do it.

It was a packed day. We had a lot of things to do. It was amazing. The view along the road were incredible. It was worth every penny. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.
The tour should be in english but the guide did not speak english at all. He did not communicate and me and my friend were excluded from the information. For example: he had a whistle which he used in multiple ways but he did not explain in english what it meant. He also did not tell us that we had to get in the boat and the boats left without us and we had to get back in the buss Very dissapointing: tour guide was named dolphin or something. We do not recommend this tour - waste of a day in ecuador

After carefully investigating what happened with our driver, guide, and the canoe staff, we found that the tour was conducted as scheduled. This is a shared tour, and the guide spoke in English throughout the experience. In fact, several other English-speaking travelers were with the same guide that day, and we did not receive any similar concerns from them. According to the information provided by all the staff involved, when the group arrived at the waterfall stop, the other travelers stayed to enjoy the activities and the time at the site. However, you decided to return to the bus and remained separate from the rest of the group. Later, when the group arrived at the canoe departure point, the guide gave instructions for everyone to board together. Instead, you chose to walk toward the bridge on your own rather than follow the guide's directions. Our staff called you to rejoin the group, but you declined and returned to the bus. For this reason, the guide was unable to provide the full experience or explanations during those parts of the tour, as you had separated yourselves from the group by personal choice. We always strive to provide a high-quality experience for every guest, and we take all feedback seriously. We appreciate your comments and wish you all the best in your future travels.

Based on the 5 star reviews, my boyfriend and I were so excited for this tour… Since the tour guide did not reach out the night before, I messaged sent a message just to confirm time (0900) and meet up location. They were prompt, clear in their responses, which was greatly appreciated. We got to the location at 0850, where we checked in and signed our waivers. 0900 there was still no driver, so we asked the gentleman if we had time to get breakfast. He said that the driver would be there in 5 minutes… add another 40 minutes to that and the driver EVENTUALLY shows up. I asked a reason for the delay and he said that he had to pick up other guests. There were no other guests on the bus when we got on. The sites we visited were super touristy locations, that were jam packed. Mainly places for photo opportunities with displays. The one thing I did truly enjoy was the hike to the waterfall. The waterfall itself was beautiful, but again it was packed and we were only allowed 25 minutes there. Our guide was inattentive and truly didn’t care about our experience. The only time he interacted with us and showed us a medicinal plant used for sinuses, etc.He was lost in his cellphone or chatting with his other tour friends the majority of the time. While walking to and from the water fall he straight up powered forward and left the group behind. What if someone got injured or sick? I took some pictures and videos of the group walking through the woods alone. I wish we would’ve chosen another tour or just made our own itinerary. Definitely the worst tour I’ve been apart of.

That morning our driver had to coordinate pickups before arriving at the meeting point, which unfortunately caused the delay, as this is a shared tour and not a private tour. In a private tour we would have departed only with you. Regarding the places visited during the tour, the Amazon one-day excursion includes some well-known sites that are popular among visitors. These places can sometimes be busy because they are public tourist locations open to everyone, not private sites. It is normal that popular attractions have more visitors, especially during peak hours, as many travelers want to experience them. We are sorry to hear that the guide did not seem attentive during the experience. This is not the level of service we aim to provide. Our guides are usually recognized in many reviews for their friendliness, knowledge, and attentiveness, so we will definitely share your comments with our team to reinforce the importance of staying close to the group and ensuring that every participant feels supported during the hike and throughout the tour. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the hike to the waterfalls and the natural beauty of the area, which is one of the highlights of this excursion. Unbelievable value for money. It’s a whole day out packed with great activities and unique experiences. Pablo was a great guide (you could tell his knowledge extended beyond just being a tourist guide) and Jaime is an excellent driver around difficult roads. Lunch was included (+3 dollars for fresh fish which was delicious). Available in both English and Spanish. Zero complaints at all, a really wonderful experience.
