We will start with a short hike where we will take you to find sloths and many other animals in their natural habitat , we will learn and talk about them while we walk through the beach trails jungle and different viewpoints of punta uva. You will hear stories about shipwrecks, indigenous wisdom and many curious facts, mixed with the history of puerto viejo and Costa Rica in general. After the hike we go back to the meeting point for a small break and snack to cool down and relax a bit, then we will take the kayaks and head to the the river where we will also see sloths but other amazing wildlife such as monkeys, iguanas, turtles, different birds species and a lot more!

Alex was very thorough about digital communications, but once we were out on the water he seemed thoroughly uninterested in sharing information about the animals and the environment. He told folks in our group not to touch a specific tree but didn't say why (there were other people sitting on the tree). Pleasant but the whole thing felt "off," including the guys who hung around the hut where we met.
Thank you for your honest feedback, and we’re sorry the experience felt a little “off.” Just to clarify, Alex asked everyone not to touch the tree because there was a wasp nest on it—definitely not the kind of wildlife encounter we want to add to the tour! 🐝 We’re also sorry if the local guys around the hut made you uncomfortable. They’re part of the local community and often help around the area, but we understand that everyone can have a different impression.
