Description

Recognized by Yelp as Massachusetts' #1 food tour in 2025! Small, intimate tours. Why book Boston Foodie Tours' North End Neighborhood Tour? Just ask recent guests! "BEST food tour EVER" and "ahhhhhmazing", they've said. Our multi-award-winning tours are designed from the perspective of our owner, an Italian-American, native Bostonian who is a culinary school alum. Our focus on award-winning best eats is just the beginning. In between bites of a top 100 U.S. award-winning pizza, and a Time magazine-featured pasta, and a few belly laughs, our goal is tell the WHOLE story of this iconic neighborhood, with an oral history that you can't Google, and an introduction to the colorful old-time locals, whom, we're sure, will make a lasting impression. Oh, and did we mention the three-time Best of Boston-winning bread bakery, the the Food Network, "Best Thing that I Ever Ate"-featured salumeria, or the iconic cannoli? Have we convinced you to join us yet? We hope so!

The BEST Tour with Audrey in the North End!

We had the BEST time with Audrey enjoying incredible food in the North End. It was a great way to experience Little Italy, learn the history, try amazing food we never would have found on our own - all while being completely entertained by Audrey. We highly recommend this tour - it was definitely the highlight of our trip to Boston!

Best tour in the North End!!

This was my second time doing a tour with Audrey! Look no further and book this tour!!! First time was for a girls trip and this time was with my husband. She is truly the BEST of the BEST. Each tour she has been absolutely incredible and every time I go to Boston I feel like I need a Boston Foodie Tour with Audrey! She takes you to the best spots and you learn so much about the North End that you would never know if you were exploring the area on your own! Another thing I love about her tour company is that it is not jam packed with so many people. You can truly have a good experience not being overcrowded. Thank you so much Audrey!! We love you and hope to visit again soon!!

Operator response

When this tour guide thinks of Louisiana, she not only associates it with the French Quarter, Cafe Du Monde, and Bourbon Street, but also with your your lovely family. Thank you for joining us not once, but twice, and for making Boston Foodie Tours your go-to Boston food tour. We were thrilled to offer you a girls-only version of our North End Neighborhood Tour, and were tickled pink when you returned with your husband to introduce him to your favorite North End best eats. We were at-the-ready with a few new spots, which, along with the tried-and-true ones, we hope will inspire you to return to Boston yet a third time. Give us a shout when you do. We might be able to help you land a sought-after reservation!

Food, Fun, Friends, and LAUGHS!

We had the best time! Fun, tons of laughs, learned a ton…yet relaxing and refreshing! We loved it!!!

Operator response

The Iowans brought the fun, and we brought the food!!! Okay, maybe we brought some fun, too, but this group of friends was certainly ready for a good time. And they enlightened us, too. Ham balls, anyone? Apparently, this classic Midwestern dish should be on everyone's list! Thank you for including Boston Foodie Tours in your holiday week itinerary. From Boston to Maine, we hope that we New Englanders inspired a return visit, and many more culinary adventures that nurture your cherished friendships, and create lifelong memories.

Take this tour!

The Little Italy (North End) Tour was the best food tour I’ve experienced. Audrey was a dream, and it was delightful to see how integrated she is to the neighborhood and how much they love her! The pace was great for my mobility issues and each stop was fun and tasty! My husband and I had such a great time - the highlight of our trip to Boston! If you have time, be sure to take this tour with Boston Foodie Tours!

Fun day in the North End!

Last Saturday, 4/11, we took a North End Neighborhood Tour with Audrey from Boston Foodie Tours. This was our first food tour, so we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. Audrey was a fantastic guide! She was incredibly knowledgeable throughout the tour. We made more stops at restaurants/local businesses than were listed in the tour description. We enjoyed all the food we tasted and drinks that we sipped, and her insider knowledge of the neighborhood. We were amazed at how many people she knew and interacted with as we walked the streets of the North End. It was so nice to be with a tour guide who really knows and loves the area. We highly recommend the Boston Foodie Tour for an excellent overview of the neighborhood and an introduction to the many wonderful restaurants and businesses within it. Thank you, Audrey!

Operator response

Nothing satisfies this tour guide more than introducing guests to the joy of food tours. What could make the experience more special? Hosting locals who make discoveries in their own backyard, and are already discussing their NEXT regional food tour, as well as a return visit to the North End to share delicious finds with loved ones. We're pleased that this tour was memorable to both you and your partner, to whom you gifted it. We hope we set a high bar for future food tours, and that we'll have the pleasure of introducing you to more of Boston's best eats in the coming years.

A Must-Not-Miss in Boston's North End!

Audrey was a delight! Boston Foodie Tour was a wonderful family morning during our time in Boston. Audrey's knowledge of the food and culture in the North End was amazing--and she seems to know everyone so walking around to each restaurant was a treat. The quantity of food is generous, to say the least...luckily we paced ourselves and didn't eat everything at the first few stops. After the tour, we went back to a few places and stocked up :). If you're looking for a food tour in Boston's North End, this is it!!

Operator response

What a wonderful group we had on our North End & Market District Tour, which included some of the best tastings of the North End (Little Italy), followed by small tasting samples at the indoor Boston Public Market, and an iconic chowder finale at the historic Union Oyster House. We were thrilled that you chose to include Boston Foodie Tours as part of your day trip, and made new discoveries of interest, some of which inspired a return visit prior to your departure. We hope this won't be the last visit, and that the North End, along with its unique culture, history, and delicious foods, will call you back again in the not-to-distant future.

Best time I’ve had in Boston!

I can’t stop raving about this tour we did with Audrey! We got to experience so many delicious foods and experiences alongside with great history of restaurant owners, their legacy, and upcoming projects from Audrey. She was so fun to hang out with and so kind. She gave us the ultimate experience with all her insight. We were filled to the brim from all the delicious stops by the end of the tour. It is well worth the money you pay!

Delicious Food and Funny Host

I had a great time on the North End tour! Audrey was hilarious and did a great job providing an overview of the history of the neighborhood and the restaurants. The food was delicious and I definitely did not leave hungry! Audrey keeps her tours small, too, which was great because I felt like it was more personalized and I could hear all of the stories she told. I'd recommend!

Operator response

We made a bucket list!!! Well, kind of. Actually, "A food tour" made this guest's bucket list, and the gift giver, her sister, determined that Boston Foodie Tours was the best local option. This tour guide/tour operator was thrilled to be able to provide you and your guest with an intimate version of our North End Neighborhood Tour. Our small group of five had the streets of the North End largely to ourselves on a cold Sunday afternoon, when neither the brisk weather, nor the must-see late afternoon football game deterred us. We hope that your first food tour won't be your last, and that all of your bucket list wishes come true.

Great tour guide & delicious food!

My husband and I visited Boston for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and booked this tour for our last day. We can't recommend it enough! Audrey is extremely knowledgeable and witty. She knows so much about the area, the food, and the people. All of the food we tried was delicious! I was so full at the end, I was unable to finish my last meal. If you're on the fence, book this tour! You won't regret it.

Operator response

As we launch our fifteenth season, this tour guide/tour operator is still genuinely moved when our guests entrust Boston Foodie Tours with such special celebrations. And I'm even more touched - shocked, really - when guests leave the warmth of their southern home states to join us in the midst of some of our winter's coldest days. You not only did so willingly, but with no complaints, and smiles on your faces throughout. Thank you for being such wonderful guests. Wishing you many more years of happiness, and delicious anniversary escapes.
