We’ve just returned from an unforgettable trip through Sri Lanka. I wanted to share how special the experience was. A huge part of what made this trip so enjoyable was our private driver Aruna Dasanayake. He was always courteous and an absolute professional throughout. He had a great knowledge of the country, its history and culture. Nothing was ever too much. He anticipated our need for coffee stops, paced the trip perfectly and made us feel completely at ease from start to finish. It was clear he took great pride in his work. If you’re considering a private tour in Sri Lanka, I can’t recommend this style of travel highly enough especially with a driver like Aruna. It allowed us to experience the country comfortably and safely and we had a very memorable trip.

From the time we landed in Sri Lanka we have had an amazing experience. Our driver Suranga was punctual every day with a clean and vaccumed car and a fresh bottle of water for each of us. We were able to adjust some of the types of our activities eg cycling and replace with an alternative easily. Plans for the next day were discussed at the end of each day. Driving in Sri Lanka is crazy but we felt very safe with him. We visited some amazing places and we were constantly surprised with the range of accomodation, 4 star but off the beaten track with stunning views. Suranga was charming and patient and ensured we were comfortable and happy at the end of each day. He also has a great sense of humour.

We have just spent 11 days travelling around Sri Lanka with BH Lanka Tours. We are very happy we chose a tour with a driver in a modern air conditioned car. We can thoroughly recommend it, the days were long and busy and our driver named Udara was wonderful, very professional, caring and a great sense of humour. It made the tour very enjoyable. Udara gave us a lot of helpful information about what would happen when we arrived at an attraction I.e. do we tip, show us where to get tickets and also what to look out for re scammers, this was very reassuring and made everything a positive experience.

We recently completed the 13-day Sri Lanka tour with BH Lanka Tours, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The itinerary was well balanced and flexible, allowing us to explore the beauty, culture, cuisine, and wildlife of Sri Lanka at an enjoyable pace. A special mention goes to our tour guide, Mr. Leelananda, who made the trip exceptional. He was very friendly, always punctual, and demonstrated great time management throughout the tour. Thanks to his planning and professionalism, every day ran smoothly and stress-free. Beyond that, his genuine kindness and generosity really stood out. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, safe, and happy. Among the many highlights of the trip, we would especially recommend spending a night in Galle to fully appreciate this fascinating and historic city. We felt warmly welcomed everywhere we traveled, and much of that was due to the care and dedication of the BH Lanka team. We highly recommend this excellent-value tour to anyone looking for a memorable and seamless Sri Lankan adventure!

This was our first time in Sri Lanka. I selected BH Lanka Tours because of their high rating. We are very happy with this choice. The eight day tour allows time to capture many of key sites and experiences, and we added the ancient capital Polonnaruwa to the itinerary (gave up a day at the beach). I chose the superior package to get the best hotels. Most of the hotels were stunningly beautiful with attentive staff and excellent buffets for breakfast and dinner. And a special shoutout to Udara, our private driver and guide. His driving skills are outstanding. He had many suggestions - such as where to have laundry done - and made accommodations for me, as I arrived with an injured hip and therefore had mobility issues. And he was always pleasant and informative. Thank you Udara!

My husband began planning our trip to Sri Lanka a year ago and after researching a number of the tour companies selected BH Lanka. We contracted for a 17 day tour with a private driver and guide. Throughout the pre-trip communications. Sanju at BH Lanka responded immediately and was very helpful and professional. At one point, we were concerned about the flooding and cyclone destruction in Sri Lanka but Sanju reassured us that the infrastructure would be repaired by the time we arrived, and it was. The hotels and itinerary that Sanju set up were great. We also thank him for selecting an exceptional driver and guide for us. We were met at the airport in Colombo by our driver, Chanuka Weersinghe. From our very first greeting, we felt at ease with him. He was so friendly, fluent in English, accommodating our needs with a smile and a sense of humour. As we proceeded through our 17 day journey, we also appreciated his exceptional driving skill (traffic can be crazy!), his knowledge of his country and ability to select the best timing and perspectives in all of the historical and natural sites that we visited. For example, Chanuka made sure that our routing missed the worst heat of the day, or if we were on a hike (9kms through Hortons Plains!), that the final part was mostly downhill and in the shade. Thank you Chanuka!! The beauty of the country and the friendliness of the people draw you to Sri Lanka. As experienced travelers, we notice when the presentation of that beauty is brought to the next level by the itinerary and guide. We took home fond memories of Sri Lanka and the credit goes to BH Lanka and Chanuka Weersinghe. .

We have had an excellent tour to Sri Lanka with BH Lanka but what made it exceptional was our guide Bhathi. The organisation of the tour was first rate, we had 19 days and so we were able to add some time into Trincomalee on the east coast, through Galle on the south and up to Colombo on the west coast taking in cultural sites, safaris and whale watching. When organising the holiday, BH Lanka suggested an itinerary that we were able to tweak to be able to cover all the things we wanted to see and do. Throughout the tour, Bhathi really looked after us, imparting his knowledge of the sites we visited and talking to us about life in Sri Lanka. He also has a lot of contacts in the places we visited and made sure we had the best seats in the house at the cultural show and on the whale watching boat. He was friendly from the beginning and we became firm friends during our tour. He also took time to teach us some of the Sinhala language, which we appreciated. He takes lots of photos that he shared with us and we always felt safe when he was driving on the interesting and challenging Sri Lankan roads!
