Description
Guiding for me is a passion, and if you are curious to learn about our culture, history and people join me on my walks. As the world entered the Covid lockdown, in March and in December 2020 Zagreb in Croatia was hit by two strong earthquakes. This is way most of the city center buildings are hidden under scaffolds. We can still walk around and tell the story of the the people, country and the city that goes back 1000 years ago.

Upper Town Gornji Grad
The competition for power between two parts of Zagreb. Secular - or religious. Grič or Kaptol. The Upper Town's landmarks square beat the rhythm of the political life of the whole country (Republic of Croatia). Where do the Middle Ages hide here?
St. Mark's Church
The saint patron of the Upper Town is St Blaise (like in Dubrovnik), but the community church is dedicated to St. Mark (like in Venice). What was the medieval community like?
Funicular Railway
The Funicular is closed during 2025 and part of 2026. Work on the Funicular will begin on Monday, January 20, 2025, and is expected to be completed in March 2026.

Walking through Zagreb, both the lower and upper city, lasting over three hours, guided by a young Italian-Croatian named Theo, who was very knowledgeable.

Outstanding tour with Samia zitouhni!. 😎
We started our trip in Croatia by visiting Zagreb, a family of 8 persons from Iceland. Samia was all in, telling us about the impressing history of Zagreb, the culture, how the community has been built through the centuries and what, and where, we should particularly pay attention in our coming trip in Croatia. Friendly and knowledgeable host
Samia was so kind and knowledgeable of Zagreb and Croatia. We learned so much. It was lovely to walk through the city during advent Zagreb, and celebrate the holidays with a bustling city. It also happened to be the day that the Croatia football team was returning to the country after placing third in the World Cup. so the whole city was a buzz with football Samia engaged both of my kids as well as took dozens of questions from my husband and I she was a great host and representative of the city.
