In the city's bustling food markets, we were introduced to a variety of artisanal products, such as smoked salmon, handmade cheeses, and freshly baked breads. The traditional Irish desserts were delicious. We discovered the rich flavors of Galway's traditional dishes.
The traditional Irish stew was delicious. We also savored succulent smoked salmon from a renowned local producer and tasted decadent chocolates from a family-run confectioner. The tour served as a fantastic cultural immersion.
The tour guide gave us unique insights into the ingredients, cooking techniques and cultural significance of the cuisine of Ireland. Each stop was a chance to taste a variety of local delicacies, from traditional Irish stews to freshly caught seafood.
I reached out to the tour operator following our gourmet tour, she has since updated the description of the tour. Megan, our guide, was absolutely lovely. Buyers should be aware that you get a cheese board with a glass of wine (very tasty), two cups of chips (French fries), taste four types of whisky and end with ice cream. When we hired the experience it listed that participants get goodie bags (since deleted from listing), we did not receive goodie bags. When I reached out to the tour operator about these issues I received no response. Buyer beware- I spent €892 for my family of four and then had to go buy dinner.
